The Titans held three leads during the first half of Sunday’s game, but the Patriots have the lead at halftime.
Quarterback Drake Maye hit wide receiver Kayshon Boutte with a 39-yard strike for a touchdown with 49 seconds to play in the first half and the Patriots lead 17-13 as a result. It was Maye’s second touchdown pass of the half and he is now up to 12 on the season.
The touchdown drive was set up by a Titans kickoff out of bounds that gave them the ball at the 40-yard line. That error by kicker Joey Slye was their biggest in what was otherwise a pretty clean first 30 minutes of play under interim head coach Mike McCoy’s tutelage. McCoy did make a curious decision to let time run out at the end of the half rather than use timeouts to set up at least a Hail Mary or long field goal before time expired.
Maye is 10-of-11 for 110 yards and he’s run four times for 43 yards to continue his strong start to the season. Rhamondre Stevenson added 10 carries for 73 yards and the Patriots will likely lean on the run game when they take the ball to open the third quarter.
The Titans defense lost defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons in the second quarter of Sunday’s game and the Patriots offense took advantage of his absence.
Quarterback Drake Maye found tight end Austin Hooper in the back of the end zone for a three-yard touchdown with 5:34 left in the first half. Hooper’s touchdown capped a 93-yard drive for the road team and tied the score at 10.
Maye threw for three first downs during the possession and ran for a fourth. He is 8-of-9 for 59 yards and he’s run three times for 34 yards.
Simmons left the game with a hamstring injury and is called questionable to return for the Titans.
The post-Brian Callahan era is off to a good start in Tennessee.
Rookie quarterback Cam Ward hit rookie wide receiver Chimere Dike for a 38-yard touchdown and the Titans lead the Patriots 10-3 with 5:04 left in the first quarter.
Dike’s first NFL touchdown came one play after he caught an 18-yard pass from Ward and it capped a quick three-play drive for the home team. Ward completed two passes for 31 yards to help the team to a field goal on the first drive of the game.
The Patriots put together a solid drive in response to that field goal, but a Jihad Ward sack on third down forced them to settle for three points.
Defensive tackle Jalen Carter said he’d be ready to go for the Eagles in Week 7 and that has turned out to be the case.
Carter was listed as questionable to play due to the heel injury that kept him from playing against the Giants in Week 6, but he is active for Sunday’s game in Minnesota. Carter will be trying to help the Eagles avoid a three-game losing streak.
Right tackle Brian O’Neill will be one of the blockers trying to keep Carter from making a mess of things on Sunday. He is active after being listed as questionable with a knee injury.

The Titans will not have one of their top offensive players when they face the Patriots on Sunday.
Tennessee announced receiver Calvin Ridley has been ruled out with the hamstring injury he suffered during last week’s loss to the Raiders.
Ridley has not been able to practice all week.
One of the team’s most productive offensive players, Ridley leads the club with 290 yards on 16 receptions so far in 2025.
Edge rusher Arden Key (quad), offensive lineman Blake Hance (shoulder), and receiver Bryce Oliver (knee) have also been ruled out for Week 7.
