It’s a no brainer, because there waiting for you will be two mouth-watering ties, that could have huge implications on the race for the top four and also affect things at the bottom of the PL standings.
Here’s your PL Sunday preview.
Tottenham Hotspur vs. Everton, 8:30am ET, live on USA
These two teams are tucked just behind the top four, so this match is crucial if either Spurs or Everton are serious about sealing a place in the UEFA Champions League next season. Under Tim Sherwood Tottenham have lost just once in the league since December and that was at home against Manchester City last week. Spurs look re energized and are full of goals, but will come up against a very good Everton team who currently sit in fifth, one place and one point ahead of Spurs. The Toffees have a good record against Spurs, as they’ve lost two of their last 13 PL meetings against the North London club.
Both teams will be welcoming back players as Spurs look to have Andros Townsend and Moussa Dembele back from injury, while Seamus Coleman, Gerard Deulofeu and Lacina Traore should all be fit for the Blues.Massive three points at stake at White Hart Lane on Sunday, as the race for a spot in the top four intensifies.
Manchester United vs. Fulham - 11am ET, live on USA
Speaking of that, United are pleased just to be in the running to make it into the Champions League as the Red Devils horrid season continues. Last time out they lost 2-1 to Stoke City in David Moyes’ eight PL loss since taking over at the start of this season. United have Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata all fit and ready to wreck havoc and they will look forward to facing a Fulham side that is bottom of the table and has the worst defensive record in the league. Former United assistant coach Rene Meulensteen is returning to Old Trafford as the Cottagers boss, but he won’t expect to get any friendly treatment from a United team desperate for all three points. Fulham have only avoided defeat once in 51 years at Old Trafford and the Moyes’ men have won their last 11 league and cup games against the West London side.
On Sunday Nemanja Vidic will return, despite announcing he will leave United in the summer, while Fulham’s new signings Kostas Mitroglou and Johnny Heitinga will make their debuts. These two teams need a win for entirely different reasons: United to keep in touch with the top four, Fulham to try and clamber out of the bottom three. Expect a tense affair at the Theater of Dreams.
