Nacer Chadli has been ruled out for six weeks with ligament damage in his ankle.

The Tottenham midfielder was injured early in Spurs’ 0-0 draw with Liverpool over the weekend, forced off after just ten minutes.

With the injury, Chadli will likely miss Tottenham’s next five Premier League matches, which includes the North London derby against Arsenal on November 8, as well as big matches against Chelsea and West Ham.

Chadli has played in all nine league games for Tottenham this season, with eight of those appearances coming as starts. He travelled with the Belgian national team for their most recent European qualifiers, but played just 20 minutes off the bench.

Chadli joins a list of injuries for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, as Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb, and Son Heung-min have also been sidelined.

Tottenham currently sit seventh on the Premier League table, and their one loss through nine matches is tied with Leicester City for the least in the league. However, Spurs have had a bit of trouble finding wins, as their five draws are tops in the PL.
