Elly De La Cruz finished 3-for-4 with a homer, four RBI and two steals in the Reds’ 7-2 defeat of the Rockies on Tuesday.
De La Cruz really filled up the box score in this one, finishing with a homer and multiple steals for the third time in his career. The other occasions were both in 2024. As of the moment, he’s tied for fourth in MLB with 10 homers, ninth with eight steals, tied for fourth with 26 runs scored and tied for ninth with 24 RBI.

Eric Orze allowed three runs on two hits in 1/3 of an inning to pick up his second blown save of the season on Wednesday against the Mariners.
No Twins reliever had thrown on back-to-back days, and Cole Sands had only thrown 13 pitches on Tuesday, but Orze was called on to protect a one-run lead on Wednesday. He allowed a lead-off walk to Randy Arozarena before striking out Luke Raley. However, he would then allow two hits and another walk before being chased from the game. The Twins need to find an answer at closer.
How does Crochet on IL impact Red Sox?
Eric Samulski recaps the news that Boston Red Sox' pitcher Garrett Crochet has been moved to the IL (shoulder) and what this means for Boston's pitching options.

Diamondbacks recalled LHP Philip Abner from Triple-A Reno.
  • SEA 2nd Baseman #2
Cole Young went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and three RBI in a win over the Twins on Wednesday.
Young had a double early in the game, but then came to bat in the ninth inning with the Mariners down one and laced a two-run single into the outfield to give his team a lead they would go on to hold. The 22-year-old now has 19 RBI on the season to go along with a .286/.357/.420 slash line. Considering how weak second base is for fantasy leagues, Young has been a really solid pick-up in most league types.
  • AZ Relief Pitcher #56
Diamondbacks optioned RHP Andrew Hoffman to Triple-A Reno.
Hoffmann heads back to the minors after getting rocked for a staggering eight runs while recording only one out in relief during Tuesday’s game against the Brewers. The 26-year-old has posted an underwhelming 8.49 ERA and 12/8 K/BB ratio across 11 2/3 innings over eight appearances for Arizona this season.
  • AZ Shortstop #2
Geraldo Perdomo (ankle) is back in the lineup for Wednesday’s contest against the Brewers.
Perdomo returns to Arizona’s lineup at shortstop and hitting leadoff following a two-game absence due to a left ankle sprain. The 26-year-old has gotten off to a slow start this season, slashing .250/.350/.393 with 11 runs scored, one homer, six RBI and six steals in 102 plate appearances over 25 games. He was one of last year’s biggest breakout stars with a 20-homer, 100-RBI, 27-steal campaign out of nowhere.
  • MIN Shortstop #22
Brooks Lee went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base in a loss to the Mariners on Wednesday.
Lee puts the Twins in front with a two-run single in the fourth inning, which gave him 17 RBIs on the season. After a slow start to the season, Lee has gone 20-for-73 (.274) over his last 20 games with five home runs, 11 runs scored, 15 RBI, and two steals. That’s worthy of an add in most fantasy formats, but don’t be afraid to cut bait if the production dries up.
  • NYY Left Fielder #24
Jasson Domínguez was removed from Wednesday’s game against the Rangers with a left elbow contusion.
It’s an encouraging update after Domínguez underwent X-rays that came back negative for any fractures following a hit-by-pitch. He’ll undergo additional imaging prior to Friday’s series opener against the Orioles back in New York to ensure that he isn’t dealing with any hairline fractures or other issues. It sounds like there’s a chance he manages to avoid the injured list, but that’s hardly a lock. There should be a definitive update on his status later this week.
  • NYM Center Fielder #88
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters Luis Robert Jr. (back) will undergo an MRI and could require a trip to the injured list.
Robert remains out of New York’s lineup for the fourth time in their last five games and it sounds like there’s a possibility he’ll get some additional time off to put the issue to bed. There should be a decision on his status prior to Thursday’s series finale agains the division-rival Nationals.
  • ATL Relief Pitcher #26
Braves manager Walt Weiss told reporters Raisel Iglesias (shoulder) could return early next week.
It sounds like Atlanta is going to get their primary closer back next week since Iglesias will skip a minor league rehab assignment altogether. The 36-year-old veteran stopper hit the shelf with shoulder inflammation last week. His return would push Robert Suarez back to a setup role.
  • ATL Starting Pitcher #99
Spencer Strider (oblique) will make his season debut against the Rockies on Sunday.
Strider returns to Atlanta’s rotation mix following a five-week absence recovering from an oblique strain. The 27-year-old velocity and underlying pitch data were extremely encouraging during recent minor league rehab outings, which inspires some confidence fantasy-wise heading into his season debut at hitter-friendly Coors Field. He’s worth the risk in deeper mixed leagues, but fantasy managers in shallow formats are probably best served with a wait-and-see approach before slotting Strider back into lineups.
