Sixers signed G Xavier Silas for the remainder of the regular season.
Silas impressed the Sixers’ brass with a strong training camp, but there just wasn’t enough room for him on the roster. He’ll likely see minutes over the final two games with the team now resting/tanking ahead of the playoffs.

Jarrett Allen recorded a double-double on Friday with 14 points (6-of-9 FGs), 12 rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block against the Bulls.
For the first time since Nov. 12, Allen finished with a double-double. It has been a rough season for him, and a finger injury that forced him to miss nine games didn’t help. Allen is typically the epitome of consistency, but that hasn’t been the case so far this season. He’ll look to build off this while Evan Mobley (calf) is sidelined, which will hopefully help his get back on track and get back to being a reliable fantasy option.
Highlights: Garland goes off for 35 points in loss
Darius Garland's 35 points and eight assists weren't enough for the Cavaliers to earn the home win against the visiting Chicago Bulls.
  • CLE Guard #24
Tyrese Proctor started on Friday and contributed 16 points (6-of-15 FGs), six rebounds, three assists, one steal and three three-pointers against the Bulls.
With Donovan Mitchell (illness) sidelined, Proctor slid into the starting lineup for the first time in his career. The rookie scored in double figures for the fourth time this year, which is impressive to see out of a second-round pick. Absences from Mitchell and Craig Porter Jr. and continued absences from Sam Merrill and Max Strus opened the door for Proctor to start, but he won’t get the opportunity to start often, meaning he should be left on the waiver wire.
  • CLE Guard #10
Darius Garland led the Cavaliers with 35 points (13-of-27 FGs), two rebounds, eight assists, one steal and six three-pointers in a 136-125 loss to the Bulls on Friday.
With Donovan Mitchell (illness) out, Garland was able to step up and have his best outing of the season. A recurring toe issue kept Garland sidelined to start the season and has forced him to miss time since making his season debut, which has prevented him from developing a rhythm. He got on track in this game, which will hopefully lead to more productive nights from him moving forward. He’ll look to stay hot against the Hornets on Monday with Mitchell likely back.
  • Nickeil Alexander-Walker led the Hawks with 23 points (7-of-18 FGs), two rebounds, four assists and two three-pointers in a 126-98 loss to the Spurs on Friday.
With Trae Young (knee) sidelined for the second night of Atlanta’s back-to-back, NAW slid back into the starting lineup. He was productive as a reserve on Thursday, finishing with 28 points off the bench. He kept hat going as a starter. Even with Young back, NAW will continue to provide standard-league value. He’ll continue to play plenty of minutes, even if he is coming off the bench.
  • ATL Forward #1
Jalen Johnson posted a solid line on Friday with 17 points (6-of-11 FGs), 11 rebounds, six assists, one steal, one three-pointer and seven turnovers against the Spurs.
24 hours after setting a new career high with 43 points, Johnson wasn’t able to keep his hot streak going. This was his ninth straight game with a double-double, but he had his fewest assists in a game since Nov. 7, and he set a new season high for turnovers. This was a subpar performance for Johnson when compared to what he’s done recently, and he’ll look to get back on track against the Bulls on Sunday.
  • SAS Forward-Center #1
Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with 26 points (10-of-15 FGs), 12 rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and two three-pointers in a 126-98 win over the Hawks on Friday.
Wemby led San Antonio in scoring and recorded a double-double for the first time in over a month while only playing 22 minutes. He came off the bench again, but he once again dominated during his minutes on the floor. Spurs coach Mitch Johnson said before the game that Wemby wasn’t on a specific minutes restriction, but they wanted to be mindful of his minutes. He could’ve played longer if the game was closer, which is a good sign for his continued progression.
  • SAS Guard #5
Stephon Castle lit up the Hawks with 17 points (7-of-10 FGs), two rebounds, seven assists, one block and one three-pointer on Friday.
This was the second straight game that Castle put up this exact stat line. Seriously. The only difference was one fewer field goal attempt and one fewer free throw attempt in this one. Castle could’ve been more productive in both if the scores were closer, and Sunday’s game in Washington doesn’t provide much optimism for a closer outing. Castle has been effective, but he only played 24 minutes after playing 25 minutes on Thursday. They play the Thunder twice next week, so Castle’s minutes should go up for those games at least.
  • SAS Guard-Forward #24
Devin Vassell posted a strong line on Friday with 18 points (7-of-15 FGs), seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and four three-pointers against the Hawks.
Vassell led the Spurs starters in scoring in a homecoming game for him. He also played a team-high 27 minutes, which was limited by the lopsided score. Vassell played well in this game, and he’s averaging 19.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 3.7 triples per game over his last three outings. He’ll look to keep it going in Washington on Sunday to wrap up the week.
  • BOS Guard-Forward #7
Jaylen Brown lit up the Heat with 30 points (9-of-18 FGs, 10-of-11 FTs), nine rebounds, seven assists, one steal, five turnovers and two three-pointers on Friday.
Brown’s unreal stretch continued in this game. This was the sixth straight game he has scored at least 30 points, and the only time he failed to score 30 points over his last 10 outings was when he recorded a triple-double. Brown’s performance in this game helped Boston end a two-game slide. They’ll wrap the week up in Toronto on Saturday, and a win would move them into third place in the East.
  • BOS Guard #28
Hugo González provided a boost off the bench with 10 points (4-of-7 FGs), eight rebounds, two steals, one block and one three-pointer against the Heat on Friday.
González was one of a few players that were productive off the bench for Boston in this game. Sam Hauser added 15 points on five triples, and Anfernee Simons scored 14 points. However, González was able to make a larger impact on the defensive end while scoring in double figures for the second time in his career and setting a new career high for rebounds. The rookie has been a solid reserve for Boston lately and is an intriguing piece in dynasty leagues.
