Jabari Smith Jr. shot 3-of-10 from the field and 5-of-6 from the foul line in Saturday’s loss to Portland, scoring 14 points with eight rebounds, one assist, three blocks, and three 3-pointers in 37 minutes.
Smith is struggling with his shot, making 41.9% of his attempts from the field. He still appears to be struggling to figure out where he fits in Houston’s offensive attack, and the third-year forward has the lowest usage of the five starters. Smith isn’t a player who should be dropped in fantasy leagues, but fantasy managers need three-block nights like Saturday to become the norm to counter the limited offensive value.

Jaylon Tyson provided a boost off the bench with 18 points (7-of-16 FGs), two rebounds, three assists and three three-pointers against the Suns on Wednesday.
Tyson continues to be a strong option for Cleveland, and with De’Andre Hunter sidelined with an illness for this game, he was able to lead the Cavs in bench scoring. He was joined by Sam Merrill (16 points) in making a large impact for Cleveland as a reserve. Moving back to the bench has limited Tyson’s opportunity, but he continues to make an impact for fantasy managers, which shouldn’t change moving forward.
HLs: Mitchell dominates with 34 in win over Suns
Watch highlights of Donovan Mitchell's standout performance for the Cleveland Cavaliers in a win over the Phoenix Suns, in which he finished with 34 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists on New Years Eve.
  • CLE Center #4
Evan Mobley recorded a double-double on Wednesday with 16 points (7-of-10 FGs), 10 rebounds, five assists, one steal and five blocks against the Suns.
Mobley’s first few games since returning from a calf injury have been rough, but this one was strong. He had his first double-double since his return in his second game back in the starting lineup and was one of three Cavs to record a double-double in this game. Mobley also matched his season high for blocks in the win. It has been a subpar stretch for Cleveland, but if Mobley continues to play like this, they’ll rise back up the standings.
  • Julian Strawther (illness) is available to play against the Raptors on Wednesday.
Strawther will be good to go after initially being listed as probable. He’ll be play his typical role off the bench, but he isn’t a player that is worth streaming in standard leagues.
  • CHI Forward-Center #25
Tre Jones, Matas Buzelis, Isaac Okoro, Jalen Smith and Nikola Vučević will start against the Pelicans on Wednesday.
With Josh Giddey (hamstring) and Coby White (calf) sidelined for extended periods of time, Jones and Smith will enter the starting unit in the first game without their star guards. Both players will see a nice boost in minutes and production as part of the starting unit.
  • CLE Guard #45
Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 34 points (10-of-18 FGs, 10-of-12 FTs), 10 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, one block and four three-pointers in a 129-113 win over the Suns on Wednesday.
After scoring 26 total points across his last two games, Mitchell responded in a big way in his final game of 2025. This was only his second double-double of the season, and he made in impact in categories across the board. Mitchell is averaging career highs in points and three-pointers while also having the most efficient shooting season of his career. He’ll look to stay hot against the Nuggets on Friday in Cleveland’s next game.
  • PHX Guard #12
Collin Gillespie finished with 17 points (6-of-15 FGs), six rebounds, five assists, two steals, one block and five three-pointers against the Cavaliers on Wednesday.
Gillespie has been an excellent fantasy option for most of this season, but his recent stretch has been one of his best this season. Over his last three games, he has averaged 19.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 5.0 three-pointers per game while shooting 51.2 percent from the floor. Gillespie is somehow available in 62 percent of Yahoo! leagues, but he should be considered a must-roster player.
  • PHX Guard-Forward #3
Dillon Brooks lit up the Cavaliers with 20 points (7-of-15 FGs), three rebounds, three assists, three steals and two three-pointers on Wednesday.
Brooks kept the Suns afloat in the first half by scoring 20 points before the break. However, he wasn’t able to add to his scoring total in the third or fourth quarter. Brooks has enjoyed the best scoring season of his career this year, and this was poised to be a big night. He just wasn’t able to take advantage of the opportunity. However, he was able to contribute three steals in a game for the first time since mid-November.
  • PHX Guard #1
Devin Booker led the Suns with 32 points (13-of-25 FGs), two rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in a 129-113 loss to the Cavaliers on Wednesday.
It was a rough first half for Booker, but he came alive after the break. He scored 19 points in the third quarter and ended up having a big scoring night after shooting below 40 percent in the Suns’ two previous games. It wasn’t enough for Phoenix to win, and it has been a rough season overall for Booker. However, this was a strong performance for him, and he’ll look to stay hot against the Kings on Friday.
  • PHI Center-Forward #21
Joel Embiid (ankle, knee) is probable to play against the Mavericks on Thursday.
After playing a season-high 38 minutes in Tuesday’s win, Embiid is expected to be available against Dallas. He had 34 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists in that game and will look to stay hot in a matchup with Anthony Davis.
  • SAS Guard #5
Stephon Castle (thumb) is available to play against the Knicks on Wednesday.
After initially being listed as questionable, Castle will be good to go for the rematch of the NBA Cup Final. With Devin Vassell (adductor) sidelined for at least the next couple of games, Castle should see a boost in usage during that stretch.
