Karl-Anthony Towns finished Wednesday’s win over the Timberwolves with 15 points (5-of-11 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), 10 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one three-pointer.
While Towns had his moments during Wednesday’s rout and recorded his seventh double-double in eight games, it was clear that he was playing through an illness that landed him on the Wednesday morning injury report. The Knicks forward/center finished a blocked shot shy of a complete line but matched his season-low in shot attempts. With New York off until Sunday, Towns will have valuable time to recuperate from his illness.
