Jamir Watkins (illness) is questionable to play against the Grizzlies on Saturday.
Watkins is a late addition to the injury report, and if he’s unavailable, there will be a few extra minutes for Justin Champagnie and Will Riley. Regardless that won’t make much of an impact in fantasy basketball.
  • CLE Guard-Forward #20

Jaylon Tyson tallied 16 points (7-of-11 FGs), six rebounds, one assist, one steal and two three-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the Knicks.

Chris Mannix previews every matchup on this year's loaded NBA Christmas Day slate, diving into Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs' clash with the Thunder, LeBron James vs. Kevin Durant, and much more.
  • CLE Center #4
Evan Mobley (calf) finished Thursday’s loss to the Knicks with 14 points (6-of-8 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), nine rebounds and three assists.
  • CLE Guard #10
Darius Garland produced 20 points (7-of14 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), one rebound, 10 assists and three three-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the Knicks.
  • CLE Guard #45
Donovan Mitchell accounted for 34 points (12-of-26 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), seven rebounds, six assists, four steals and four three-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the Knicks.
  • NYK Guard #13
Tyler Kolek produced 16 points (5-of-9 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, nine assists, one block and four three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Cavaliers.
  • NYK Guard #00
Jordan Clarkson amassed 25 points (9-of-17 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), one rebound, two assists, three steals and five three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Cavaliers.
  • NYK Center-Forward #32
Karl-Anthony Towns tallied 11 points (5-of-13 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), 14 rebounds, one assist and two steals in Thursday’s win over the Cavaliers.
  • NYK Guard #11
Jalen Brunson accounted for 34 points (10-of-25 FGs, 8-of-10 FTs), one rebound, four assists, two steals and six three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Cavaliers.
Brusnon and the Knicks got off to a brutally slow start on Christmas Day, making just two of their first 15 shot attempts. New York would get off the mat during the second and fourth quarters, but it was the bench that sparked the rallies as opposed to Brunson. The captain finished with his 15th game of 30 points or more, so all wasn’t lost for those who have him rostered. And individual plus/minus, which can be a flawed stat to begin with, is not a scoring category in fantasy leagues.
  • NYK Guard #3
Josh Hart (ankle) finished Thursday’s win over the Cavaliers with 15 points (5-of-9 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), five rebounds, three assists and two three-pointers.
Hart was not on the court to finish Thursday’s comeback victory, as he sprained his right ankle on a drive to the basket early in the fourth quarter. The Knicks’ wing made his free throws and then limped back to the locker room after the team gave an intentional foul. Hart would not return, but he was on the bench to watch the Knicks complete their comeback. Tyler Kolek was part of the closing lineup, and he could take on an expanded role if Hart misses time.
  • Jonas Valančiūnas (illness) is probable for Thursday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Valančiūnas was dealing with an illness ahead of Denver’s last two games but ultimately filled his usual role as Nikola Jokić’s backup. The probable tag suggests that the veteran center will be able to take on those responsibilities on Thursday night.
