Jalen Green (hamstring) is out for Thursday’s game against the Pistons.
Green has now missed three straight games with a hamstring injury after missing 33 games earlier in the season. With Devin Booker (ankle) also out, Grayson Allen should step into a bigger role. Collin Gillespie (hand) would too if he’s cleared to play.

John Collins finished Thursday’s loss to the Spurs with 15 points (6-of-8 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs) and six rebounds.
Collins has reached double figures in three consecutive games, a solid run for a player who totaled 13 points in the three games prior. However, his point total has decreased in each of the Clippers’ last three games. And his production took on added importance when Isaiah Jackson went down with a high ankle sprain. The backup center minutes now belong to Collins, resulting in his and Brook Lopez’s (six points, six rebounds, three assists and one block) minutes being staggered more than before Jackson’s injury. Jackson will be re-evaluated in one week, which means Collins will continue to have added importance.
Miller: Mosley, Magic have 'predictable' offense
The Numbers on the Board questions what is going on with the Magic, revealing how their interesting offseason could have led to their struggles this year and sharing why coach Jamahl Mosley could be the issue in Orlando.
  • LAC Forward #2
Kawhi Leonard recorded 24 points (10-of-16 FGs), six rebounds, five assists, two steals and four three-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the Spurs.
On a night when Darius Garland (11/2/3/1/1 with one three-pointer) shot 5-of-17 from the field, Leonard could not do enough to drag the Clippers over the finish line. The veteran forward finished with yet another 20-point game, and most fantasy managers will take the final stat line. And they’ll also hope to see Leonard finish Week 23 on a high note, as the Clippers visit the Kings on Sunday.
  • SAS Guard #2
Dylan Harper finished Thursday’s win over the Clippers with 19 points (8-of-12 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), two rebounds, five assists, one steal and two three-pointers.
Harper has scored in double figures in seven consecutive games, his longest run of the season. The rookie guard shot 66.7 percent from the field against the Clippers, and he dished out five assists for the second consecutive game. Harper’s name has not come up as often in Rookie of the Year conversations, but he has fit in nicely with the Spurs’ roster. San Antonio ends its Week 23 in Denver on Saturday.
  • SAS Guard-Forward #24
Devin Vassell produced 14 points (5-of-12 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), 10 rebounds, two assists and three three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Clippers.
With no Victor Wembanyama (ankle), the Spurs needed a group effort on the glass to take care of the Clippers. And they got it, with Vassell and Julian Champagnie (13/8/4/2 with one three-pointer) leading the way. Vassell’s double-double was his first of the season, and he also shot 3-of-8 from beyond the arc. Due to the strength of the Spurs’ rotation, Vassell boasts a lower fantasy ceiling than in seasons past. Still, his perimeter shooting ability makes him a valuable option in most leagues.
  • SAS Guard #5
Stephon Castle amassed 20 points (8-of-15 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), four rebounds, five assists and three three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Clippers.
After attempting nine shots in Wednesday’s win over the Warriors, Castle put up 15 on Thursday. A big reason for the increase was Victor Wembanyama (ankle) not playing, and the reigning Rookie of the Year took advantage of his opportunities. Castle did not record any defensive stats against the Clippers, but he’s still averaging one steal per game. The rebounds, assists and three-pointers were good, so there isn’t much for fantasy managers to worry about.
  • SAS Guard #4
De’Aaron Fox accounted for 22 points (9-of-13 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), eight rebounds, five assists, three steals and one three-pointer in Thursday’s win over the Clippers.
With no Victor Wembanyama, as he sat to rest his ankle, Fox was able to do a bit more scoring-wise than he did in Wednesday’s win over the Warriors. The Spurs’ guard doubled his point total from the night prior, and he did so on good percentages from the field and the foul line. Add in the rebounds, assists, and steals, and this was the kind of performance many Fox managers had hoped for once it was known that Wembanyama would not play.
  • LAC Guard-Forward #9
Bennedict Mathurin recorded 18 points (5-of-10 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), six rebounds, two assists and two steals in Thursday’s loss to the Spurs.
Mathurin posted solid percentages and was active on the glass, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Clippers from being outclassed by the red-hot Spurs. And after scoring four points on 2-of-7 shooting in Tuesday’s loss to the Trail Blazers, he needed to have a good Thursday night individually. The Clippers play once more in Week 23, on Sunday in Sacramento, and that’s a matchup in which Mathurin can flourish.
  • GSW Forward #23
Braymond Green tallied eight points (3-of-11 FGs), nine rebounds, nine assists, one steal, three blocks and two three-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the Cavaliers.
Green didn’t have a great night shooting the basketball, but the overall stat line showed why he’s still rostered in more than 75 percent of Yahoo! leagues. In addition to the rebounds and assists, the veteran forward was responsible for four defensive contributions. The three blocks matched Green’s season high, which he last reached on November 25 against the Kings. The Warriors play once more in Week 23, when they host the Rockets on Sunday.
  • Brandin Podziemski amassed 25 points (9-of-15 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), four rebounds, four assists, two steals and two three-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the Cavaliers.
Podziemski, who shared the team lead in scoring with Gui Santos, has scored 20 points or more in five of his last six appearances. The Warriors’ guard has provided third-round value over the last two weeks, more than picking up the slack as the team remained without Stephen Curry (knee). Even if Curry returns on Sunday against the Rockets as expected, Podziemski’s role will be fine due to the Warriors’ need for offense. Plus, Curry’s playing time will be limited in his first game back.
  • GSW Forward-Center #7
Kristaps Porziņǵis (illness) finished Thursday’s loss to the Cavaliers with 16 points (6-of-13 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), seven rebounds and one blocked shot.
Porziņǵis played 28 minutes against the Cavaliers, providing limited value outside of points and rebounds in a challenging matchup. He’s played at least 27 minutes in each of his five appearances, an encouraging run after injury and illness limited his availability at the start of his time with the Warriors. Golden State ends its Week 23 with a game against the Rockets on Sunday, and they may have Stephen Curry (knee) back. Even if his minutes are limited, Curry’s mere presence should help Porziņǵis and the others offensively.
