**UPDATED AS OF TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13 AT 3:20 PM ET**
🏈 AFC East
◆ Buffalo Bills
DJ Moore - WR (shoulder)
Moore aggravated his shoulder injuryin Week 4 and was forced from the game, unable to return. He did not play in Week 5 against the Rams.
Impact: The Bills adapted to his absence by taking on a run-leaning offensive game plan on Monday Night Football, where Josh Allen attempted only 19 passes to 37 team rush attempts in the thrilling overtime win. Dalton Kincaid now has three consecutive games with three or fewer targets, something we expected to change with Moore out.
Joshua Palmer - WR (shoulder)
Palmer injured his shoulder in practice Friday and was ruled out for Week 5 Saturday.
Impact: Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir did little as the top options through the air against the Rams, while rookie Skyler Bell failed to come up with either of his two targets in his professional debut.
◆ Miami Dolphins
De’Von Achane - RB (knee)
Achane suffered a torn ACL in the team’s Week 3 loss to the Chiefs, ending his season.
Impact: Achane’s unfortunate season-ending injury creates opportunity for Ollie Gordon and Jaylen Wright. The timing of the injury makes it likely that Achane is able to fully recover before the start of the 2027 regular season.
Caleb Douglas - WR (ankle)
Douglas missed his third consecutive game in Week 5.
Impact: Douglas continues to demonstrate splash play potential for one of the youngest offenses in the league and could return to streamer status once healthy, considering quarterback Malik Willis’ league-leading downfield throw rate.
◆ New England Patriots
TreVeyon Henderson - RB (ankle)
Henderson departed the team’s Week 5 win over the Raiders with an ankle injury and did not return.
Impact: Rhamondre Stevenson is in line to serve as the unquestioned lead back, should Henderson miss time, and becomes a viable RB2 against the Jets. Corey Kiner would soak up primary change of pace duties but is not worthy of fantasy streaming consideration.
Mack Hollins - WR (calf)
Hollins departed the team’s Week 4 win over the Bills with a calf injury and did not return. He did not practice on Wednesday before being ruled outFriday.
Impact: Veteran practice squad call-up Efton Chism saw the biggest increase in routes following Hollins’ departure, which was particularly interesting considering the team’s general lack of downfield abilities. Perhaps Kyle Williams could finally see additional time on the field.
A.J. Brown - WR (ankle)
The Patriots placed Brown on injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain. Head coach Mike Vrabel said Monday that “there’s a chance” Brown practices this week.
Impact: Brown was diagnosed with the dreaded high-ankle sprain and will now be forced to miss the next four games while on injured reserve, with the soonest he can return being in Week 6 when the Patriots host the Jets. Reports surfaced Monday stating that Brown will not require surgery. Mack Hollins stands to benefit in snap rate and route participation rate in his absence, although it was slot-man DeMario Douglas who led the team in route rate in their Week 1 loss to the Seahawks. There is a small possibility second-year receiver Kyle Williams is allowed to grow into the offense as a deep threat with a long week of practice before the Patriots take the field following their opening day loss to the Seahawks on Wednesday.
◆ New York Jets
Breece Hall - RB (quadriceps)
Hall suffered a quadriceps injury in the team’s Week 3 loss to the Lions. Head coach Aaron Glenn labeled the talented running back week-to-week the following Monday, and reaffirmed the same status in Week 5. He was ruled outfor Week 5 Friday.
Impact: Braelon Allen handled a true workhorse role in the absence of Hall in Week 4 and Week 5 and can be started as a volume-driven RB2 for as long as Hall remains sidelined.
Omar Cooper - WR (ankle)
Cooper is considered week-to-week after suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 1. The team placed him on injured reserve Saturday.
Impact: Cooper’s absence could afford rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq an opportunity to establish himself as a reliable contributor.
Adonai Mitchell - WR (finger)
Mitchell reportedly injured his finger in practice Thursday and was limited Friday. He was ruled out for Week 5 Friday.
Impact: Garrett Wilson is in line to see all the volume he can handle for as long as Mitchell remains sidelined, while rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq enters the TE1 range.
🏈 AFC North
◆ Baltimore Ravens
Lamar Jackson - QB (ankle)
Jackson departed just before the half with an ankle injury and did not return in Week 4. Although he was reportedly “closer than people think” to playing in Week 5, Head coach Jesse Minter said Monday that he was not sure if Jackson would practice to start the week Wednesday.
Impact: Although wide receiver Zay Flowers remains an elite fantasy option, his true ceiling inarguably takes a significant hit with Huntley under center. Even so, fantasy managers can continue to start him as a WR1.
Durham Smythe - TE (Achilles)
Smythe suffered a torn Achilles in the team’s Week 4 win over the Titans. His season is done.
Impact: It was Matt Hibner who saw the largest increase in snaps following Smythe’s departure in Week 4, making it unlikely we see veteran Mark Andrews in a more robust role.
Ja’Kobi Lane - WR (wrist)
Lane suffered a fractured wrist in the team’s Week 1 win over the Colts. He was placed on injured reserve after undergoing surgery.
Impact: The popular breakout candidate caught a touchdown that was called back due to a penalty before departing with a fractured wrist in Week 1, and will now miss significant time. Rashod Bateman ran a route on almost every Lamar Jackson dropback in Week 1 but failed to catch his lone target. It remains more likely that Zay Flowers, if healthy, and Mark Andrews continue to be the points of emphasis through the air. Keep an eye on rookie wide receiver Elijah Sarratt.
◆ Cincinnati Bengals
Andrei Iosivas - WR (thumb)
The Bengals placed Iosivas on injured reserve in Week 3
Impact: Wide receivers Colbie Young and Dohnte Meyers will duke it out for the No. 3 wide receiver role for at least the next four weeks. Meyers can be added in 14-team leagues, though his upside is questionable.
◆ Cleveland Browns
Dylan Sampson - RB (knee)
Sampson is expected to miss ‘significant time’ after suffering a knee injury in the team’s Week 1 loss to the Jaguars. He was placed on injured reserve in Week 2.
Impact: Veteran journeyman Reheim Sanders stepped into the vacated change-of-pace and passing-down role, which is noteworthy considering it wasn’t lead back Quinshon Judkins who saw his role grow. This backfield appears as close to a full stay-away as possible in fantasy circles, at least for as long as Deshaun Watson remains the starter under center.
Quinshon Judkins - RB (ankle)
Head coach Todd Monken confirmed Monday that Judkins is considered “day-to-day” with an ankle injury after Judkins was spotted in a walking boot following the team’s Week 5 loss to the Jets.
Impact: Although Monken said Judkins will have a chance to play in Week 6, the team signed veteran journeyman Audric Estime from the Vikings’ practice squad Monday. Fantasy managers will want to track the status of Judkins throughout the week, but it certainly looks like they should prepare for an absence against the Ravens.
◆ Pittsburgh Steelers
Rico Dowdle - RB (toe)
Dowdle has missed the previous three games while tending to a toe injury.
Impact: Jaylen Warren is a volume-backed RB1 for as long as Dowdle remains sidelined after handling true workhorse volume in his absence. Head coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that Warren has earned additional work in the backfield, even when Dowdle returns.
Michael Pittman - WR (foot)
Pittman was limited on Wednesday before being seen using a scooter in the locker room after practice. It was then revealed that Pittman aggravated his foot injury and will miss multiple weeks.
Impact: Pittman’s absence opens the door for additional opportunities behind DK Metcalf, a role that now appears to be on rookie Germie Bernard‘s shoulders following the multi-week injury suffered by Roman Wilson in Week 5. Bernard is one of Week 6’s top waiver additions after leading the team with nine targets against the Colts.
Roman Wilson - WR (finger)
Wilson departed in the second half of Week 5 with a finger injury and is reportedly looking at a multi-game absence.
Impact: See above.
🏈 AFC South
◆ Houston Texans
Tank Dell - WR (knee)
Dell began the season on injured reserve. Head coach DeMeco Ryans said Mondaythat the team would activate Dell’s 21-day practice window this week. He was limited on Wednesday but ruled out for Week 5 Friday.
Impact: Expect Jaylin Noel to serve as the primary slot receiver while newcomer Kayshon Boutte starts on the perimeter opposite Nico Collins, for the time being. Dell could work his way back into primary slot duties once healthy. The acquired former first-round wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr following their Week 5 win over the Titans.
David Montgomery - RB (groin)
Head coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday that Montgomery is “week-to-week” with a groin injury.
Impact: The expected multi-game absence leaves Woody Marks alone atop the backfield depth chart, in a role that has yielded but on fantasy-relevant box score through the season’s first five weeks. Even so, fantasy managers in a bind can prioritize Marks off waivers ahead of another difficult matchup against the Jaguars in London.
Jayden Higgins - WR (knee)
Higgins saw his 2026 season taken from him due to a torn ACL suffered in camp.
Impact: It’s a massive blow to a Texans team that was counting on Higgins taking another step forward in his Sophomore campaign. The team traded for Kayshon Boutte in the wake of the injury.
◆ Indianapolis Colts
Alec Pierce - WR (heel)
Pierce aggravated the injury that required offseason surgery in Week 2. The Colts placed him on injured reserve in Week 3. He will attempt to avoid surgery by rehabbing his injured heel.
Impact: Josh Downs should serve as the primary option through the air for as long as Pierce remains sidelined. The team signed veteran field-stretcher Darius Slayton in the wake of Pierce’s injury, although he is unlikely to return weekly fantasy production. Slayton (knee) was ruled outfor Week 5 Friday.
◆ Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars emerged from their Week 5 win over the Eagles absent any fantasy-relevant injuries.
◆ Tennessee Titans
The Titans emerged from their Week 5 loss to the Texans absent any fantasy-relevant injuries.
🏈 AFC West
◆ Denver Broncos
Pat Bryant - WR (ankle)
Bryant suffered an ankle injury in the team’s Week 4 loss to the 49ers and is reportedlyexpected to miss “a few weeks.” He was placed on injured reserve Friday.
Impact: Troy Franklin and Marvin Mims appear to be the next men up in Bryant’s absence, although the team could use a “sum of all parts” mentality to bridge his absence, considering historical trends. Alpha wide receiver Jaylen Waddle would be the primary beneficiary.
Jonah Coleman - RB (ankle)
The team shocked fantasy managers Saturday, sending him to short-term injured reserve. He will be eligible to return in mid-October.
Impact: Coleman was initially viewed as the potential Week 3 starter, given Harvey and Dobbins’ ailments. Dobbins and Harvey will revert to a backfield tandem in the rookie’s absence.
◆ Kansas City Chiefs
Rashee Rice - WR (hamstring)
Rice departed Week 4 with a hamstring injury and is reportedly looking at a several-week absence.
Impact: It was Jalen Royals who stepped into Rice’s role following the latter’s departure, although rookie Cyrus Allen would appear to be a better fit in the short term. The Chiefs are now without a viable deep threat following the devastating injury suffered by Tyquan Thornton, with reports surfacing that they have reached out to free agent Tyreek Hill. Stay tuned as this saga unfolds.
Tyquan Thornton - WR (ankle)
Thornton suffered a devastating ankle injury due to a hip-drop tackle in Week 4. He is reportedly set to undergo surgery within the week and will miss 12-16 weeks.
Impact: See above.
◆ Las Vegas Raiders
Jalen Nailor - WR (concussion)
Nailor did not practice on Wednesday. He was ruled outfor Week 5 Friday.
Impact: The Raiders’ wide receiver injuries have allowed wide receiver Cody White to be a surprisingly effective contributor.
Dont’e Thornton - WR (hamstring)
The Raiders activated Thornton’s 21-day practice window from injured reserve on Wednesday. Thornton says he is “ready” to play, although the team ruled him outfor Week 5 Friday.
Impact: Thornton could carve out a role as a deep threat, once healthy, but can only be viewed as a dart throw.
Jack Bech - WR (forearm)
The Raiders placed Bech on injured reserve in Week 4.
Impact: Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker could line up in the slot more often.
◆ Los Angeles Chargers
Ladd McConkey - WR (foot)
McConkey was active for Week 5 but did not play an offensive snaps.
Impact: Here we go again. Thanks Harbaugh. McConkey’s situation bares monitoring ahead of a Week 6 showdown with the Chiefs, although fantasy managers can’t trust a word out of Harbaugh’s mouth. It would be wise to make alternate arrangements, until proven otherwise. Quentin Johnston also missed Week 5, leaving the team without a reliable pass catcher through the air. The offense understandably struggled as they fell to 0-5.
Quentin Johnston - WR (chest)
See above.
Impact: See above.
Charlie Kolar - TE (forearm)
The team intended to place Kolar on injured reserve, but his prognosis changed during surgery. He returned in Week 5 following one missed game.
Impact: The Chargers’ receiving specialist tight end Oronde Gadsden is the clear-cut starter in the short term. Gadsden flopped in Week 3 and can only be viewed as a boom-bust TE2.
David Njoku - TE (fibula)
Njoku is looking at an extended absence after being carted from the field in the team’s Week 2 loss to the Raiders. The Chargers placed him on injured reserve in Week 3.
Impact: See above.
🏈 NFC East
◆ Dallas Cowboys
Malik Davis - RB (hip)
Davis was placed on injured reserve and will miss the remainder of the 2026 season.
Impact: The Cowboys released both Jaydon Blue and Phil Mafah at roster cuts and now have only Emari Demercado on the active roster behind starter Javonte Williams. Expect Israel Abanikanda to be elevated to the active roster from the practice squad for Week 2, while Williams appears likely to see all the work he can handle against the Commanders. Williams is a locked-in RB1 in Week 2.
CeeDee Lamb - WR (quad)
Lamb departed the team’s Week 5 loss to the Buccaneers in the fourth quarter with a quad injury. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reportedthe team does not believe the injury to be serious.
Impact: Regardless of the early reports, fantasy managers will want to keep a watchful eye on the level of participation of Lamb in the coming week. George Pickens would be in line to serve as the top option through the air if Lamb were to miss time, immediately vaulting into the WR1 discussion in fantasy circles.
◆ New York Giants
Jaxson Dart - QB (knee)
Dart injured his MCL, PCL and meniscus on the team’s first possession of Monday Night Football against the Rams. He will undergo surgery to address the MCL and meniscus and miss the rest of the regular season. Giants head coach John Harbaugh said it is possible for Dart to return in the postseason, although this is unlikely.
Impact: Backup Jameis Winston was largely unable to sustain drives following Dart’s departure. Dart’s absence has an adverse effect on all skill position players in New York, most notably Malik Nabers, Isaiah Likely, and Cam Skattebo. We’ll know more regarding Dart’s expected timeline later this week.
◆ Philadelphia Eagles
Saquon Barkley - RB (hamstring)
The veteran workhorse pulled up lame in the second quarter of Week 4 and is reportedlyconsidered “week-to-week.” He did not play in Week 5 but the team is reportedly “hopeful” to get back their franchise back for Week 6.
Impact: Primary backup Tank Bigsby also departed the team’s Week 4 loss to the Rams, leaving with a core muscle injury that requires surgery. He was placed on injured reserve Monday. Running back Will Shipley the suffered an injury in Week 5. The Philadelphia backfield is currently a mess.
Tank Bigsby - RB (core)
See above.
Impact: See above.
Will Shipley - RB (foot)
Shipley reportedly suffered a partial tear of the plantar fascia in his foot in Week 5. He is expected to miss multiple weeks.
Impact: Dameon Pierce and Carson Steele are the only healthy backs currently on the roster, assuming Saquon Barkley misses another week. Neither are overly exciting streaming options, although we would prioritize Pierce.
DeVonta Smith - WR (hamstring)
Smith did not practice on Wednesday after playing through this injury in Week 3. He was ruled out for Week 4 and remained sidelined to begin Week 5. The team ruled him outfor Week 5 Friday. Smith reportedly “has a shot” at returning for Week 6.
Impact: Smith’s hamstring was an issue in training camp. The team will now be down to Dontayvion Wicks and rookie Makai Lemon as its top two pass catchers pending the return of Smith. Neither is an overly exciting start in fantasy.
Eli Stowers - TE (hamstring/quad)
The Eagles placed Stowers on injured reserve.
Impact: Stowers appears unlikely to have a meaningful role in the offense during his rookie season.
◆ Washington Commanders
Terry McLaurin - WR (hamstring)
McLaurin remains sidelined in Week 5 after injuring his hamstring during a Week 4 practice. He played in Week 5 after being a true game-time decision.
Impact: Fantasy managers will want to track his status in the coming days to ensure he did not suffer a setback.
Stefon Diggs - WR (hamstring)
Diggs apparently injured his hamstring in Week 4 and remains sidelined to begin Week 5. He was ruled out for Week 5 Friday.
Impact: Diggs’ absence paves the way for Antonio Williams to continue to see his role grow in an offense that continues to look out of sorts. Fantasy managers can continue to stash Williams in the hopes his per-target upside begins to translate into heavier volume.
Marcus Mariota - QB (knee)
Mariota departed the team’s Week 4 loss in London with a sprained MCL, leaving Athan Kaliakmanis as the likely backup, for the time being. Mariota remained sidelined in Week 5.
Impact: None.
Jaylin Lane - WR (ankle)
Lane suffered a dislocated ankle and fracture in Week 4 and is likely done for the season.
Impact: Minimal. Lane was primarily a special teams contributor.
🏈 NFC North
◆ Chicago Bears
Caleb Williams - QB (hamstring)
Williams suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain in the team’s Week 2 loss to the Vikings. He is reportedly aiming to return for Week 6.
Impact: Williams’ expected return comes on the heels of a seven-point, five-turnover outing against the division rival Packers with a combination of Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum under center. Williams will be a back-end QB1 against the pass-funnel Falcons in Week 6.
Kyle Monangai - RB (thumb/toe)
Head coach Ben Johnson labeled Monangai as “day-to-day” with a thumb injury suffered in Week 4. Johnson said Monangai’s thumb injury is not an “issue,” but did not address the toe injury. Monangai was sidelined on Wednesday before being ruled outfor Week 5.
Impact: D’Andre Swift suddenly finds himself in one of the better spots for Week 5, with the backfield mostly to himself for as long as Monangai remains sidelined. Roschon Johnson is likely to be involved, but not to the extent that Monangai would have been. Fire up Swift in all formats as a middling RB1 in a difficult matchup against the Falcons, should Monangai miss another week.
◆ Detroit Lions
Isiah Pacheco - RB (back)
Pacheco was placed on injured reserve to start the season. General Manager Brad Holmes said he “hopes Pacheco returns this season.”
Impact: Well, that doesn’t sound great. There appears to be something more insidious going on with Pacheco’s back than initially thought. Lions coach Dan Campbell said running backs Jacob Saylors and Sione Vaki could split touches behind Jahmyr Gibbs. Saylors appears to be the first player up. Gibbs handled an absurd 34 opportunities, of 37 total running back opportunities, in the team’s Week 1, overtime win over the Saints
◆ Green Bay Packers
Josh Jacobs - RB (commissioner exempt list)
Jacobs was placed on the commissioner exempt list amidst troubling domestic violence allegations. His initial court date was recently moved up from November to September 10. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports Jacobs “could be looking at a 4-6 game suspension” after being activated from the exempt list.
Impact: The commissioner exempt list brings a wide range of outcomes regarding how many games we expect Jacobs to miss this season. That said, the fact that his initial court appearance was moved up near the start of the regular season could allow the league additional motivation to levy a suspension, pending the outcome of his appearance. Either way, don’t expect Jacobs on the field any time soon, leaving MarShawn Lloyd as the lead back in the interim.
Jayden Reed - WR (neck)
Reed suffered a scary-looking neck injury that required stabilization in the team’s Week 2 win over the Jets. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said on Tuesday that it is “way too early” to determine whether Reed will play again in 2026. That said, he was not placed on injured reserve ahead of their Week 3 contest. He will reportedly undergo surgery.
Impact: Beyond the football implications, it is good to hear Reed avoided any life-altering injuries in Week 2. Skyy Moore and Bo Melton are likely to soak up additional snaps, although volume is most likely to concentrate on Christian Watson, Matthew Golden, and Tucker Kraft.
Chris Brooks - RB (ankle)
Brooks suffered an ankle injury in the team’s Week 4 win over the Buccaneers and is reportedly undergoing further testing. He did not practice on Wednesday and was ruled out for Week 5 Friday.
Impact: Brooks had been the most consistent rusher in a timeshare situation. Kaleb Johnson lost another fumble in Week 4, leaving MarShawn Lloyd as the likely beneficiary for as long as Brooks remains sidelined, although that role carries little value for the team with the fewest rush attempts in the league through the first month of the season.
◆ Minnesota Vikings
Jordan Addison - WR (hamstring)
Addison did not practice on Wednesday due to “a little hamstring soreness.” He was listed as questionable for Week 5, ultimately unable to go.
Impact: Justin Jefferson remains the alpha in this offense.
Jordan Mason - RB (thumb)
The Vikings placed Mason on injured reserve in Week 2.
Impact: The Vikings are on bye in Week 6, so Mason will be eligible to return in Week 7. Starting running back Aaron Jones gets a deserved projections boost with Mason sidelined. Veteran RB DeeJay Dallas operated as the RB3. Rookie RB Demond Claiborne can be stashed on benches.

🏈 NFC South
◆ Atlanta Falcons
Michael Penix - QB (ribs)
Penix suffered a ribs injury late in the fourth quarter of the team’s overtime loss to the Ravens in Week 5. He was unable to return for the overtime possession.
Impact: The team is reportedly hopeful they will have Penix under center when the team faces off against the Bears in Week 6. Tua Tagovailoa would presumably get the start under center if Penix is unable to go, a situation that would mark a significant downgrade to Bijan Robinson and Drake London. Let’s be honest, you aren’t starting anyone behind those two anyway.
◆ Carolina Panthers
Jalen Coker - WR (quadricep)
Coker suffered a quad injury in Week 3 that forced him to depart the game. He did not play in Week 4. Head coach Dave Canales said Monday that Coker is “on track” for Week 6 against the Eagles.
Impact: The team’s Week 5 bye should afford Coker enough time to return after one missed game.
Jonathan Brooks - RB (groin)
Brooks aggravated the groin injury that forced him to miss the end of camp. The Panthers placed him on injured reserve in Week 3. He is expected to undergo core muscle surgery.
Impact: Chuba Hubbard enters the volume-driven RB1 discussion in Brooks’ absence.
◆ New Orleans Saints
Tyler Shough - QB (left hand)
Shough injured his non-throwing hand. He was limited on Wednesday but removed from the injury report Friday.
Impact: It will not impact his throwing ability.
Travis Etienne - RB (hamstring)
Etienne aggravated his hamstring injury in the team’s Week 3 loss to the Raiders. Head coach Kellen Moore said Monday that he expects Etienne to “miss some time.”
Impact: Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller appear likely to split the load in Etienne’s absence, neither of whom is overly enticing in fantasy circles in what is expected to be a shared workload.
Jordyn Tyson - WR (hamstring)
Tyson began the regular season on injured reserve.
Impact: Devaughn Vele should begin the season in the starting lineup opposite Chris Olave, with both players routinely used in the slot. Olave’s weekly range of outcomes rivals almost any receiver in the league for as long as Tyson remains out, while tight end Juwan Johnson should return weekly TE1 finishes.
◆ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jalen McMillan - WR (knee)
McMillan suffered a sprained PCL in his first game action of the season in Week 3. The team placed him on injured reserve Monday, with an expected absence of 6-8 weeks.
Impact: Not much change considering he made his season debut in Week 3, although rookie Ted Hurst should remain in the starting lineup.
Baker Mayfield - QB (thumb)
Mayfield suffered a dislocated thumb in the team’s Week 3 loss to the Vikings. He is expected to be sidelined for three-to-six weeks.
Impact: Undrafted free agent rookie Jalon Daniels will start in Mayfield’s absence. Daniels went undrafted for a reason, the primary of which was his inconsistencies as a passer. Consider it a significant downgrade for Emeka Egbuka, Chris Godwin, Ted Hurst, and Cade Otton.
🏈 NFC West
◆ Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals emerged from their Week 5 loss to the Lions absent any fantasy-relevant injuries.
◆ Los Angeles Rams
Terrance Ferguson - TE (ankle)
Ferguson aggravated an ankle injury in the team’s Week 3 loss to the Broncos. Head coach Sean McVay said Monday that Ferguson is likely to miss Week 4. He did not practice on Wednesday and was sent to injured reserve Friday. He will miss the next four games, at minimum.
Impact: Colby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee should share primary tight end duties while Ferguson is absent.
◆ San Francisco 49ers
Demarcus Robinson - WR (ankle)
Robinson suffered a high-ankle sprain in the team’s Week 2 win over the Dolphins. He will miss significant time.
Impact: Reports suggest Jacob Cowing will be leaned on to fill the void left behind by the injuries to Robinson and De’Zhaun Stribling. Expect Mike Evans, assuming health, Christian McCaffrey, and George Kittle to soak up additional volume.
Deebo Samuel - WR (hamstring)
Samuel suffered a hamstring injury in the team’s Week 5 win over the Seahawks. He is expected to miss multiple weeks.
Impact: The Athletic’s Matt Barrows believes Brandin Cooks is the “next man up” for a 49ers team absolutely devastated by injuries. Cooks can be added from waivers after serving as the de facto WR2 opposite Mike Evans once Samuel departed.
De’Zhaun Stribling - WR (ankle)
Stribling suffered an ankle injury in the team’s Week 1 win over the Rams. The 49ers placed him on injured reserve in Week 2 after he underwent surgery to repair a deltoid ligament tear. He is expected to return in 10 weeks.
Impact: The Athletic’s Matt Barrows believes Demarcus Robinson will be the primary beneficiary.
Ricky Pearsall - WR (knee)
Pearsall was placed on season-ending injured reserve.
Impact: Pearsall will miss the entirety of the 2026 season.
◆ Seattle Seahawks
Zach Charbonnet - RB (knee)
Charbonnet will begin the season on the physically unable to perform list, although the team remains optimistic he will be able to beat his initial recovery timeline. Head coach Mike Macdonald said the team could activate his 21-day practice window in Week 4. That said, he has already been ruled outfor Week 5.
Impact: Charbonnet could return to a sizable role, when healthy, after the team appeared set to sign veteran Joe Mixon, ultimately backing outafter his physical.
Jadarian Price - RB (chest)
Price was placed on injured reserve in Week 4.
Impact: Price played through the injury in Week 3 but apparently emerged worse off for wear. Emanuel Wilson and George Holani will split the backfield in his absence, although the biggest boost likely falls back to Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba - WR (ankle)
Smith-Njigba was listed as “limited” on the team’s estimated practice report Monday.
Impact: Likely none, but fantasy managers will want to track his status the remainder of the week ahead of a Thursday Night meeting with the Broncos.
