Caleb Williams (hamstring) is questionable to play in Week 5 against the Packers.

Bears coach Ben Johnson told reporters on Monday that Tyson Bagent will start against the Packers this week. Fast forward a few days and the odds have changed slightly. Williams did a little throwing, practicing in a limited capacity today, and is progressing through his rehab plan. That said, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Bagent will “most likely” get the start. We expect that to be the case. Regardless, make sure Williams is rostered in 12-team formats.
Stafford 'put it on' in last quarter vs. Bills
Chris Simms and Connor Rogers analyze LA Ram's Matthew Stafford's performance Monday night against the Buffalo Bills. Despite multiple opportunities and a push in the fourth, it wasn't enough for the Rams to win.

Panthers coach Dave Canales said Jalen Coker (quad) is “on track” to play in Carolina’s Week 6 game against the Eagles.

Coker was spotted practicing on Tuesday (there will be no injury report for this one) and seems like he’s well on track to return. He’ll be a fringe WR2/WR3 against the Eagles in Week 6.

ESPN’s Todd Archer reports the Cowboys are expected to re-sign RB Emari Demercado.

He’ll apparently get a 53-man roster spot after some roster machinations over the next few days. Demercado has lost the backup job to Tyler Goodson and doesn’t need to factor into any fantasy calculations at this time.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Jauan Jennings “would be a name for me to keep an eye on” for the 49ers.

Jennings has been a major disappointment in Minnesota, falling behind Tai Felton on the depth chart. A small stakes trade could make sense for the 49ers, who are down to hoping Brandin Cooks can provide for Brock Purdy in a major rash of injuries.

Eagles DC Vic Fangio said it would take “something miraculous” for DE Jalyx Hunt (ankle) to play in Week 6.

The Eagles defense is one of the better units in the NFL, but it has been quite banged up of late and losing Hunt here is not ideal. We’ll see if they can blot out Bryce Young’s strong start with the Panthers in Week 6.

Panthers designated RB Trevor Etienne (ankle/IR) to return.

A report in September told us that Etienne would be ready to come off injured reserve ahead of Week 6’s game against the Eagles. That appears to be coming to fruition. He’ll try to cut into AJ Dillon’s reserve role.

Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh said OT Joe Alt (neck) will see a specialist.

Last week’s offensive line in front of Justin Herbert featured four rookies and Cole Strange. It doesn’t look like it’s getting much better in Week 6.

Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh said Tre’ Harris (hamstring) is “more of a week-to-week [thing].”

Harris will probably have a real chance to play in Week 8, after the Chargers’ Week 7 bye. He thudded to a 16-yard outing in his big chance last week with Quentin Johnston and Ladd McConkey out and doesn’t necessarily need to be rostered if you’re in a bye week crunch.

Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh said Quentin Johnston (chest) will “probably be limited this week like last for the practice.”

“We’ll see where he’s at the end of the week,” Harbaugh added. Johnston practiced on both Thursday and Friday so he likely has the best chance of being active among Los Angeles’ main three wideouts. Unfortunately this passing game is in rough shape, and even a higher volume, healthy load probably wouldn’t get Johnston above the FLEX line.

Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh said it’s “possible” that Ladd McConkey (foot) is “working back in this week.”

McConkey was active last week but an emergency-only player and played zero snaps. With the Chargers having a Week 7 bye, we’d be surprised if they pushed McConkey to play unless they really needed him. Unfortunately, since he was already active last week, we know that they may really need him. His status is up in the air ahead of Week 6.
