Rams signed Boston College LB Jaiden Woodbey.
Woodbey (6’1/222) started every game for Florida State at linebacker in 2018 as a true freshman, but converted to safety for his final four seasons. After three years at FSU (2018-2020), Woodbey would transfer to Boston College for his final two seasons (2021-2022) where he totaled 126 tackles, two interceptions, and four pass breakups. In addition to his time spent at safety, Woodbey also spent ample time at corner, making him one of the more versatile defenders in the draft. Despite experience at multiple positions, Woodbey could struggle to stick at any one position in the NFL. A bit undersized for a linebacker, and presumably too slow (4.84 40-yard dash) to be a regular defensive back, the Rams will need to figure out where he fits best once they get him in the building.
