Peyton Watson (hamstring) will be re-evaluated this week.

The Nuggets have been down two rotation players, Watson and Aaron Gordon, over the past month due to hamstring strains. Watson was injured during a February 4 loss to the Knicks and given a re-evaluation timeline of four weeks. According to ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel, the hope is that Watson will be able to return within 7-10 days. Given how well he played before the injury, there may be a change that Watson starts once he’s no longer restricted, given Cameron Johnson’s struggles in his first season with the team.

Aaron Gordon (hamstring) will be re-evaluated this week.

Gordon aggravated his strained right hamstring during Denver’s January 23 win over the Bucks, and he was given a re-evaluation timeline of four to six weeks. According to ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel, there’s hope that Gordon will be able to return to game action within the next seven to ten days. Once he’s able to play without restrictions, Gordon will likely bump Julian Strawther from the starting lineup, but that won’t happen during Denver’s three-game Week 19.

Cameron Johnson (ankle) finished Sunday’s loss to the Timberwolves with zero points (0-of-6 FGs), four rebounds and three assists.

Johnson, who was dealing with right ankle inflammation before Sunday’s game, logged 23 ineffective minutes before exiting during the third quarter and not returning. The veteran forward has struggled recently, and that was before the ankle became an issue. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Bruce Brown are likely to pick up additional minutes if Johnson has to miss time. Denver visits the Jazz on Monday, the first of three games they’ll play in Week 19.

Nikola Jokić had 35 points (15-of-26 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), 13 rebounds, nine assists, one steal, two blocks and one three-pointer in Sunday’s loss to the Timberwolves.

Jokić continues his absolute dominance on the court despite the loss to the Timberwolves. The 31-year-old center had at least 30 points for the fourth time in his last five games while also recording at least 12 rebounds for the fifth time in his last six games. Jokić is the top player in per game value this season, according to Basketball Monster. The Nuggets have three games in the upcoming week, starting with a matchup against the Jazz on Monday.

Jones’ absence does not significantly affect fantasy basketball, as he logged two minutes in Friday’s loss to the Thunder.

Johnson was initially probable for Sunday’s game, so the expectation was that he would be available. He’ll occupy his usual spot in the starting lineup, with the Nuggets hoping to get more production from the forward than they did in Friday’s loss to the Thunder.

Johnson, who struggled in Friday’s loss to the Thunder, is dealing with right ankle inflammation. His potential absence would not have a significant effect on fantasy basketball, but it would push Bruce Brown or Tim Hardaway Jr. into the starting lineup.

Between injuries and lackluster production when available, this season has been a letdown for those who selected Braun in drafts. However, he had a good night against the Thunder, shooting 5-of-8 from inside the arc. The 23 points represent a new season-high for Braun, who recorded his fourth 20-point game. He’s still rostered in 72 percent of Yahoo! leagues, which is more about Braun’s status as a starter than his production. Hopefully, Friday’s performance serves as a catalyst for the Nuggets’ guard.
Nikola Jokić

Nikola Jokić accounted for 23 points (9-of-25 FGs, 3-of-5 FTs), 17 rebounds, 14 assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Thunder.

Jokić finished Friday’s overtime defeat with his third double-double in six games and 22nd of the season. He didn’t have the best night shooting the basketball, making two of his ten three-point attempts, but fantasy managers will live with that thanks to The Joker’s points, rebounds and assists. Jokić and the Nuggets have one more game in Week 18, as they host the Timberwolves on Sunday.
