Aaron Nesmith (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Clippers.

Nesmith sprained his ankle during a February 19 loss to the Wizards and hasn’t played since, missing Indiana’s last five games. Ben Sheppard entered the starting lineup in the game before Nesmith’s injury and has remained in that role. If Nesmith can play on Wednesday, Sheppard is likely to lose out on playing time.
Obi Toppin

Obi Toppin (foot) is probable to play against the Clippers on Wednesday.

Toppin has played and started in each of Indiana’s last two games, though he has logged a grand total of 19 minutes. Pascal Siakam (wrist) is questionable, and if he plays, Toppin will likely come off the bench. Regardless, Toppin won’t play enough to be worth rostering.

Andrew Nembhard (back, neck) is questionable to play against the Clippers on Wednesday.

Nembhard missed Sunday’s game against Memphis, which allowed rookie Kam Jones to start at point guard in his stead. If Nembhard remains out for another game, Jones will likely occupy that role once again. He had 10 points and 10 assists in 33 minutes against the Grizzlies.
Pascal Siakam

Pascal Siakam (wrist) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Clippers.

Siakam has missed Indiana’s last three games with a sprained wrist. Obi Toppin has been the starting power forward for the last two, but he is under a minutes restriction and totaled 19 minutes in those appearances.

Micah Potter recorded 17 points (6-of-9 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), nine rebounds, one block and two three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Grizzlies.

Over the past month, Potter has been a top-75 player in category leagues according to Basketball Monster. He’s rostered in 12 percent of Yahoo! leagues, with the minutes split between Potter and Jay Huff keeping both players’ rostership percentages low. While the Pacers won’t play again until Wednesday, those who have been rostering Potter should hold onto him.

Jay Huff finished Sunday’s loss to the Grizzlies with 14 points (5-of-6 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, three blocks and two three-pointers.

Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle continues to stick with a timeshare at the center position, and that’s likely to remain the case for the rest of this season. Huff remains the starter, and he played 25 minutes on Sunday while backup Micah Potter logged 24 off the bench. While Huff has been close to a top-75 player over the past month, Potter’s category league value has been slightly higher. The split of minutes is a big reason Huff is still rostered in 20 percent of Yahoo! leagues going into Week 19.
Jarace Walker

Jarace Walker accounted for 21 points (8-of-10 FGs, 1-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, two assists, one block and four three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Grizzlies.

Walker, who has started the Pacers’ last seven games, has reached double figures in 15 of his last 16 appearances. Sunday’s game was his fourth with at least 20 points during this run. With Obi Toppin set to be under a minutes limit for the rest of the season and Pascal Siakam nursing a wrist injury, Walker is worth the risk during the silly season. Even with the turnover concerns, which he has done a better job of managing in recent games.
Kam Jones

IND Guard #7

Kam Jones, Ben Sheppard, Jarace Walker, Obi Toppin and Jay Huff will start Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies.

The Pacers won’t have Andrew Nembhard for Sunday’s game, as he sits out due to soreness in his neck and lower back. Jones returns to the starting lineup, and the rookie should play plenty. Toppin will make another start for Pascal Siakam, but he will be under a minutes limit for the rest of the season.

Sunday’s game will be the third that Siakam has missed with a sprained left wrist. Obi Toppin (foot) should remain in the starting lineup, but he only played eight minutes in Thursday’s loss to the Hornets, as it was his first game in nearly four months. In fact, Toppin will be under a minutes restriction for the rest of the season.
