Williams did not play in Wednesday’s loss to the Suns, leaving Cam Spencer and Javon Small to handle the point guard duties. If Williams remains out on Friday, Small will stay in the rotation.

Morant has missed the Grizzlies’ last three games with a right calf contusion, and Friday’s game will be the fourth. Cam Spencer has played well this season, and he should be streamed until Morant returns and can play starters’ minutes.

John Konchar (thumb) is doubtful for Friday’s game against the Thunder.

Konchar has been out since December 7 and appears likely to miss another game on Friday. Even with Zach Edey and Brandon Clarke unavailable, Konchar’s availability does not affect fantasy basketball.

Cedric Coward (ankle) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Thunder.

Coward has missed Memphis’ last two games with a sprained ankle, with GG Jackson replacing him in the starting lineup. Coward’s return would likely push Jackson to the bench, which would not significantly affect fantasy basketball.

Cam Spencer started on Wednesday and finished with 14 points (5-of-11 FGs), three rebounds, five assists, two steals and four three-pointers in a 117-98 loss to the Suns.

This was a third straight start for Spencer. The first was rough for him as a shooter, but he has been worth streaming in the role with averages of 13.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 2.3 triples over the last three games. Spencer was excellent for most of December as well, and if Ja Morant (calf) remains out against the Thunder on Friday, Spencer will have upside as a streaming option.
Javon Small

MEM Guard #10

Javon Small provided a boost off the bench with 14 points (5-of-8 FGs), three rebounds, seven assists, one steal, one block, three three-pointers and five turnovers against the Suns on Wednesday.

The second-round pick had a couple of strong outings in October but was then sidelined for a while with a toe injury. With Ja Morant (calf) sidelined, he has been able to fill out the backup point guard minutes. That hadn’t led to much production until this game. Small isn’t worth adding in redraft leagues as long as Cam Spencer and Vince Williams Jr. are healthy, but he should be stashed in dynasty leagues.
Santi Aldama

Santi Aldama (ankle) is available to play against the Suns on Wednesday.

Aldama will be good to go after initially being listed as questionable. He’ll continue to play a significant reserve role for Memphis after playing 24 minutes on the first night of this back-to-back.

Jaren Jackson Jr. (illness) is available to play against the Suns on Wednesday.

Jackson was downgraded from probable to questionable earlier in the day, which is often an indicator that a player will end up missing a game. However, he’ll be good to go and should see his typical role after playing 35 minutes on Tuesday.

Ja Morant (calf) has been ruled out against the Suns on Wednesday.

This will be a third straight absence for Morant. Cam Spencer has been starting in his place, but with Vince Williams Jr. (knee) back, Spencer could return to the bench or at least lose out on some minutes.

Williams returned after an eight-game absence on Tuesday, so it’s unsurprising that he would be ruled out for Wednesday’s game. Cam Spencer’s place within the rotation depends on Ja Morant, who is a game-time decision. If Ja plays, Spencer will come off the bench. If not, Spencer will start while Javon Small provides depth off the bench.
