Ty Jerome (calf) recorded 20 points (6-of-12 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), one rebound, six assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Timberwolves.
Rust? What rust? Saturday’s game was Jerome’s first after suffering a calf strain during the preseason. And the minutes limit didn’t matter, as the Grizzlies guard was highly productive in his 20 minutes on the floor. Cam Spencer (5/3/5/2 with one three-pointer) played 25 minutes off the bench, but Jerome’s immediate insertion into the starting lineup is a concern for those who held onto the second-year guard. Memphis’s four-game Week 16 includes a back-to-back, so Jerome may be limited to three games. That said, fantasy managers should add him immediately.
Jaylen Wells

#0
Jaylen Wells accounted for 15 points (5-of-13 FGs, 3-of-6 FTs), six rebounds, one assist and two three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Timberwolves.
Wells has hit double figures in six of his last seven games, a solid way for the second-year wing to finish January after starting the month slowly. For fantasy managers, the hope is that Wells can get back to the level he reached in December, when he averaged 14.3 points on 45 percent shooting and hit double figures in 11 of 12 games. Given the way in which the Grizzlies are trending, seeing what Wells can offer offensively when given more freedom may become a priority after the All-Star break.
Gregory Jackson
MEM
Small Forward
#45
GG Jackson finished Saturday’s loss to the Timberwolves with 19 points (8-of-11 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, five assists, one block and one three-pointer.
While he did not move into the Grizzlies’ starting lineup on Saturday with Jaren Jackson Jr. (quad) sidelined, there were still ample opportunities for Jacksonto contribute. And he took advantage of them, with the 19 points being a season-high. Add in the rebounds and assists, and Saturday was a good night to roll the dice on the third-year forward. The Grizzlies open a four-game Week 16 on Monday against the Timberwolves, and GG will be worth a look if Jaren remains out.
Ty Jerome
MEM
Guard-Forward
#2
Ty Jerome, Jaylen Wells, Vince Williams Jr., Cedric Coward and Jock Landale will start Saturday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Making his Grizzlies’ debut on Saturday, Jerome will do so as a starter. However, head coach Tuomas Iisalo said during his pregame availability that the guard will be under a strict minutes limit. Cam Spencer heads to the bench, but Jerome’s minutes limit preserves the second-year guard’s streaming value. The other change is Williams, who steps in for the injured Jaren Jackson Jr.
John Konchar
MEM
Guard
#46
John Konchar (neck) is out for Saturday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Konchar joins a host of other Grizzlies on the sidelines for Saturday’s game. While his production has not affected fantasy basketball, Konchar’s absence means that more minutes are available to Olivier-Maxence Prosper. O-Max is not worth the risk in redraft leagues, so leave him on the waiver wire.
Jaren Jackson
MEM
Forward-Center
#8
Jaren Jackson Jr. (quad) is out for Saturday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Jackson will miss Saturday’s game with a left quad contusion. With Santi Aldama also out, the Grizzlies will likely look to GG Jackson to play extended minutes. Due to Memphis’s lack of depth, he’s worth the risk in deeper leagues.
Ty Jerome
MEM
Guard-Forward
#2
Ty Jerome (calf) is available for Saturday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Jerome is good to go for Saturday’s game, which will be his first of the season. Given the amount of time that Jerome has missed, his playing time will likely be restricted in his Grizzlies’ debut. Cam Spencer has been Ja Morant’s replacement in the starting lineup, and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.
Ty Jerome
MEM
Guard-Forward
#2
Ty Jerome (calf) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Timberwolves.
With Jerome listed as questionable, this is as close as he’s been to making his season debut. While his return may result in fewer minutes for Cam Spencer and Vince Williams Jr., both will remain in the rotation. Also, look for Jerome’s playing time to be restricted, given the time missed.
Santi Aldama
MEM
Forward-Center
#7
Santi Aldama (knee) is out for Saturday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Aldama will remain out for another game, now having missed three straight and five of the Grizzlies’ last six games. Jock Landale has moved into the starting lineup, and he’s worth rostering, especially with Jaren Jackson Jr. (quad) considered doubtful for Saturday night.
John Konchar
MEM
Guard
#46
John Konchar (neck) is doubtful for Saturday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Konchar is unlikely to play on Saturday after logging 22 minutes off the bench in Friday’s loss to the Pelicans. While he provides the Grizzlies with additional bench depth when healthy, his absence would not affect fantasy basketball.
