Rudy Gobert amassed 14 points (7-of-13 FGs), 14 rebounds, one assist, one steal and five blocks in the win over the Rockets on Wednesday.

Gobert was impressive on Wednesday in his 28 minutes. He was incredibly impactful on the defensive end, posting a handful of blocked shots, and finished well on the offensive end when given opportunities. The four-time Defensive Player of the Year’s night was cut short after fouling out of the contest late in the fourth quarter. Still, he concluded with his third double-double over his past three appearances and is trending in the right direction during the fantasy basketball playoffs.

Jaden McDaniels tallied 25 points (10-of-17 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), two rebounds, two steals, two blocks and three three-pointers in the win over the Rockets on Wednesday.

McDaniels showcased his versatility on both ends of the floor against the Rockets. He guarded well and collected stocks while taking advantage of his scoring opportunities. Unfortunately, McDaniels appeared to get injured late in the fourth quarter while defending Kevin Durant. He eventually made his way to the bench before the end of regulation and, despite not being ruled out, never returned. His status ahead of Saturday’s matchup with the Pistons will be worth monitoring.
Julius Randle

Julius Randle added 24 points (11-of-27 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, six assists and two steals in the win over the Rockets on Wednesday.

Randle struggled with his shot on Wednesday, but came up big for the Timberwolves down the stretch of overtime. He either scored or assisted on the Wolves’ final seven points, which included a tough go-ahead mid-range jumper to give Minnesota a two-point lead with under 10.0 seconds remaining. The win was a big one for the Timberwolves from a seeding standpoint; with the victory, they move to fifth place in the Western Conference standings and are now one game up in the loss column over the sixth-seeded Rockets. Randle will have a chance to help the Wolves to a third straight win on Saturday when they face the Pistons.
Mike Conley

Mike Conley, Donte DiVincenzo, Jaden McDaniels, Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert to start Wednesday vs. the Rockets.

Conley is set to make his 10th start of the season when Minnesota attempts to collect another quality win on Wednesday. Conley’s insertion into the starting lineup is likely a result of Ayo Dosunmu’s unavailability due to a calf injury. Conley had been a mainstay in Minnesota’s starting unit in past seasons, but had fallen out of the rotation recently. The veteran point guard will have a chance to produce on Wednesday and perhaps make a case for a larger role going forward.

Dosunmu’s calf injury leaves the Timberwolves down another key rotation option, as he was filling in for the injured Anthony Edwards. Bones Hyland, whose opportunities and production have increased with Ant-Man out, is the best option for fantasy managers, whether he starts or continues to come off the bench.

Ayo Dosunmu (calf) is questionable to play against the Rockets on Wednesday.

Dosunmu has been starting in place of Anthony Edwards, but there is a chance he is unavailable against Houston. In that scenario, Bones Hyland, who has also stepped up with Edwards out, will likely fill the void in the starting lineup.

Ayo Dosunmu finished Sunday’s win over the Celtics with 17 points (7-of-13 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), eight rebounds, six assists, one steal, two blocks and two three-pointers.

Dosunmu continues to produce with Anthony Edwards (knee) out of the lineup, having scored at least 17 points in four straight games. Over the past two weeks, he has provided fifth-round value in eight-cat formats. The only reason why fantasy managers should not entertain adding Dosunmu is the upcoming schedule, as the Timberwolves play two games in Week 22. However, if Edwards remains out for Wednesday’s game against the Rockets, Dosunmu would be a worthwhile pickup.
Bones Hyland

Bones Hyland accounted for 23 points (8-of-13 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, three assists, one steal and three three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Celtics.

Since the Timberwolves had to shut down Anthony Edwards (knee) for a couple of weeks, Hyland and Ayo Dosunmu have upped their offensive production. Bones scored a team-high 23 points in Boston, and he’s scored at least 17 in each of the last four games. His final line on Sunday only lacked a blocked shot, but fantasy managers will be more focused on Hyland’s efficiency and offensive production. The lone negative heading into Week 22 is the schedule, as the Timberwolves play two games.
Jaden McDaniels

Jaden McDaniels tallied 19 points (8-of-18 FGs), five rebounds, three assists and three three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Celtics.

The Timberwolves rebounded from a slow start to pick up their first season sweep of the Celtics since the 1999-2000 season. McDaniels was one of the offensive leaders, helping pick up the slack on a night when Julius Randle (9/10/4/2 with one three-pointer) shot 3-of-14 from the field. McDaniels has scored at least 16 points in four straight games. While that may not seem like much, he has been more assertive on offense since the Timberwolves lost Anthony Edwards (knee); they’ll need him to remain aggressive when Ant-Man returns.
Naz Reid

Naz Reid (ankle) is available for Sunday’s game against the Celtics.

Reid is back after missing the Timberwolves’ last two games with a sprained right ankle. His return is likely to result in fewer minutes for Kyle Anderson and Terrence Shannon Jr., eliminating both players’ streaming value.
