Naz Reid (shoulder) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Jazz.

Reid, who started for Rudy Gobert, left Saturday’s loss to the Spurs during the first half with a sore left shoulder. Gobert’s off the injury report, so he’ll be back in the starting lineup. If Reid can’t play against the Jazz, rookie Joan Beringer may enter the rotation.

Ingles will be available after a one-game absence, but that won’t alter the Timberwolves’ rotation. If he sees the floor at all, it will only be for a few minutes.

Gobert missed Saturday’s game, but he’ll return to take on his former team. Naz Reid will head back to the bench, though he is questionable with a shoulder issue. His status will determine if Joan Beringer is part of the rotation or not.

Joan Beringer accounted for 10 points (5-of-6 FGs), eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks in Saturday’s loss to the Spurs.

With Rudy Gobert (hip) out, Beringer was going to play rotation minutes on Saturday. Then the Timberwolves lost Naz Reid to a shoulder injury during the first quarter. While the Timberwolves went small at times, there were also more minutes available to the rookie from France. Beringer finished with a nice stat line, grabbing a season-high eight boards while scoring in double figures for the second time. While his value in redraft leagues will be limited due to the players ahead of him in the rotation, Beringer is an intriguing piece for dynasty league managers.
Julius Randle

Julius Randle recorded 17 points (4-of-13 FGs, 9-of-9 FTs), 10 rebounds, one assist, two steals and two blocks in Saturday’s loss to the Spurs.

With Saturday’s performance, Randle is up to 13 double-doubles, one shy of his tally for the entire 2024-25 season. He appears to be in a better space than he was for most of his first season in Minnesota, and the stats bear that out. Randle didn’t shoot well from the field, but he was perfect at the foul line and posted a solid overall stat line.
Jaden McDaniels

Jaden McDaniels amassed 23 points (7-of-14 FGs, 8-of-9 FTs), five rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and one three-pointer in Saturday’s loss to the Timberwolves.

McDaniels finished Saturday’s defeat with his tenth game with at least 20 points and a complete stat line. Due to the Timberwolves’ scoring options, the talented wing defender tends to take a back seat on offense. That wasn’t the case against the Spurs, and he made the most of his opportunities. Rostered in 46 percent of Yahoo! leagues, McDaniels has been a top-50 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks.
Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards finished Saturday’s loss to the Spurs with 55 points (19-of-33 FGs, 8-of-10 FTs), four rebounds, three assists and nine three-pointers.

After a two-game absence, Edwards put on a show in San Antonio, especially during the fourth quarter. He scored 30 points in the final frame, nearly dragging the Timberwolves to a win after trailing by as much as 25. Edwards’ 55 is a career-high, and he did so on excellent percentages. Minnesota having three games on its Week 14 schedule is good news for Edwards, given the lingering foot issue.

Naz Reid (shoulder) will not return to Saturday’s game against the Spurs.

Reid, who was starting for the injured Rudy Gobert, left Saturday’s game during the first quarter with a sore left shoulder. He only played five minutes before being ruled out at the start of the third quarter. Rookie Joan Beringer started the third in Reid’s place, and he’s going to get valuable in-game experience facing Victor Wembanyama.

Donte DiVincenzo, Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, Julius Randle and Naz Reid will start Saturday’s game against the Spurs.

The Timberwolves won’t have Rudy Gobert for Saturday’s game, as he’s out with a hip injury. He’s replaced in the lineup by Reid. While this is a clear upgrade offensively, the Timberwolves’ defense takes a significant hit. Also, Edwards’ return means that Mike Conley will come off the bench.
