OG Anunoby tallied 24 points (8-of-13 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), six rebounds, four assists, three steals, one block and three three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Magic.

Anunoby recorded his sixth 20-point game of the season on Saturday, with the 24 being the most he’s scored since November 5 and two shy of his season-high. Since returning from a strained hamstring, the Knicks forward/guard has provided top-50 per-game value in eight-cat formats. While Tuesday’s NBA Cup final will not count toward official stats or fantasy basketball, the Knicks play three games over the final four days of Week 9.

Karl-Anthony Towns accounted for 29 points (9-of-11 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), eight rebounds, two assists, one block and two three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Magic.

Towns was outstanding in Saturday’s NBA Cup semifinal, making over 80 percent of his attempts from the field. While he ranks among the best perimeter-shooting big men in league history, not settling for those shots is crucial for KAT. That wasn’t an issue on Saturday, with Towns attacking the Orlando defense consistently. While the Knicks play four games in Week 9, Tuesday’s NBA Cup final against San Antonio or Oklahoma City will not count toward official records or stats, or fantasy basketball.

Jalen Brunson finished Saturday’s win over the Magic with 40 points (16-of-27 FGs, 6-of-9 FTs), four rebounds, eight assists, one steal and two three-pointers.

The Knicks and Magic have met four times this season, and Brunson has scored at least 30 points in all four. The star point guard scored 25 points in the first half on Saturday, and Orlando could not come up with an answer for him defensively. Brunson has 88 30-point games in his Knicks career, with Saturday’s effort pushing past Richie Guerin into third on the franchise’s all-time list. Tuesday’s NBA Cup final against Oklahoma City or San Antonio will not count toward official stats or fantasy basketball, but the Knicks play three games in Week 9, starting on Thursday.

SNY’s Ian Begley reports that Miles McBride (ankle) will be re-evaluated in one week.

McBride has been sidelined since December 7th, and it now appears he will be out at least a week longer. Even though he is no longer starting, McBride is a key part of the Knicks’ rotation and has made clear gains as a scorer this season. In his absence, Jordan Clarkson will continue to be relied on for bench scoring, and Tyler Kolek will see an uptick in minutes.

Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 35 points (13-of-19 FGs), three rebounds, four assists, one block and six three-pointers in a 117-101 win over the Raptors on Tuesday.

Brunson took over this game early, and he entered halftime with 26 points. He wasn’t as dominant in the second half, but he did enough to help the Knicks advance to the semifinals of the NBA Cup. This was Brunson’s third straight game with at least 30 points, and he’ll look to keep that going against the Magic in Las Vegas on Saturday, with a chance to advance to the NBA Cup championship on Monday.

Josh Hart lit up the Raptors with 21 points (8-of-11 FGs), six rebounds, four assists, two steals and four three-pointers on Tuesday.

Hart simply couldn’t miss in this game. This was just his third 20-point game of the season, and he has shot at least 60 percent from the floor in each of those. All of them have come since Nov. 24, which is when he moved into the starting lineup. Hart’s return to the starting lineup was also a return to fantasy dominance for him. As long as that doesn’t change, Hart will be a fantasy stud.

NYK Center-Forward #32

Karl-Anthony Towns returned to the lineup on Tuesday and contributed 14 points (4-of-11 FGs), 16 rebounds, one assist, one steal, two blocks and one three-pointer against the Raptors.

After missing Sunday’s win over the Magic with a calf injury, Towns returned to the lineup for the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup. It wasn’t a great offensive performance, but he dominated the glass in his 31 minutes. Having Towns back on the floor helped New York advance to the semifinals in Las Vegas, which will be a matchup with the Magic on Saturday.

Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) will play against the Raptors on Tuesday.

Towns missed Sunday’s game against Orlando, which allowed Mitchell Robinson to move into the starting unit. He’ll head back to the bench with Towns back. KAT was able to practice on Monday, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that he’ll be available with a trip to Las Vegas on the line.
