Robinson may have been the only Knicks player to bring consistent energy during the first half of Monday’s game. He finished with 15 rebounds and a double-double, his second double-double of the season. The combination of inconsistent availability and limited scoring makes Robinson challenging to rely on in most fantasy leagues. However, nights like Monday are a reminder of what he’s capable of despite the minutes restriction.

Karl-Anthony Towns accounted for 22 points (9-of-19 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), 18 rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in Monday’s loss to the Mavericks.

Towns may have recorded a solid stat line, but looks can be deceiving. His penchant for committing silly fouls continued, and the aggression needed from a player of KAT’s caliber was not always there. Fantasy managers can be pleased with the complete stat line, but the Knicks need more from Towns if they’re to snap out of their current funk.

Jalen Brunson finished Monday’s loss to the Mavericks with 22 points (9-of-24 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), seven assists and one three-pointer.

As bad as the Knicks’ January 5 loss to the Pistons was, Monday’s performance may have been worse. They couldn’t string together stops against a depleted Mavericks team and also struggled to make shots. Brunson’s points and assists were solid, but he shot the ball poorly in a game the Knicks were never really in. The Knicks will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they host the Nets.

Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns will start against the Mavericks on Monday.

The Knicks will have their preferred starting lineup back for this game. Brunson is back after a two-game absence, while Hart is back after missing their last game. Miles McBride and Mohamed Diawara will return to playing roles off the bench.

Brunson has missed New York’s last two games with a sprained right ankle. Miles McBride has been productive as Brunson’s replacement in the starting lineup, but the Knicks lost both games. McBride is worth holding onto in deep leagues, even if Brunson is available.
OG Anunoby

OG Anunoby recorded 21 points (6-of-17 FGs, 8-of-10 FTs), eight rebounds, five assists, four steals and one three-pointer in Saturday’s loss to the Suns.

For the first time since Halloween, Anunoby has recorded back-to-back 20-point games. He didn’t shoot the ball well against the Suns, but the rebounds, assists and steals should help compensate for the field-goal percentage. The assists and steals have been down recently, which has led to Anunoby being a ninth-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. However, his season-long value continues to exceed his Yahoo! ADP (66).
Karl-Anthony Towns

NYK Center-Forward #32

Karl-Anthony Towns finished Saturday’s loss to the Suns with 23 points (7-of-16 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), 11 rebounds, two assists, one block and three three-pointers.

Towns recorded a double-double, but the performance felt a bit underwhelming from the Knicks’ star center. Phoenix’s physicality on defense appeared to affect KAT, who attempted half of his shots from beyond the arc. Shooting 43.3 percent from the field, he has only been a top-75 player over the past two weeks. Towns and the Knicks will look to bounce back on Monday against the Mavericks, the first of three games they’ll play in Week 14.
