Josh Hart (ankle) notched 18 points (7-of-15 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block and three three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Trail Blazers.

With the Knicks going 3-5 in the eight games he missed with a high ankle sprain, Hart’s return to action was certainly anticipated. And he got off to an excellent start, scoring eight points in his first stint on the floor. The all-around stat line is what makes Hart a valuable player in category leagues, especially since being moved back into the starting lineup. Miles McBride struggled in his return to the bench but hit two second-half three-pointers, finishing with eight points and three assists in 35 minutes.
OG Anunoby

NYK Forward-Guard #8

OG Anunoby finished Sunday’s win over the Trail Blazers with 24 points (9-of-15 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and four three-pointers.

Anunoby’s 24 points were the most he’s scored in a game in nearly a month, having last hit that number in a December 13 win over the Magic. Having shot 8-of-21 from three in his first five games of the month, the Knicks wing was 4-of-7 against the Trail Blazers. Already a top-50 player in nine-cat formats, Anunoby is closing in on that threshold in eight-cat. The Knicks play three games in Week 13.
Mikal Bridges

Mikal Bridges accumulated 18 points (8-of-15 FGs), six rebounds, six assists, three steals, one block and two three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Trail Blazers.

After struggling in the first game of the Knicks’ road trip on Friday, Bridges looked sharper in Portland. Efficient in shooting the basketball, he was also impactful as a facilitator and defender. In addition to his availability, stat lines like the one Bridges recorded in Portland are why he’s been so valuable to fantasy managers this season.
Karl-Anthony Towns

Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) accounted for 20 points (9-of-13 FGs, 0-of-1 FTs), 11 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Trail Blazers.

Towns appeared to tweak his right knee late in the second quarter, heading back to the locker room (under his own power) with about 30 seconds remaining. The good news for the Knicks and fantasy managers was that he was back on the floor to begin the third quarter. Towns finished with his third consecutive double-double, finishing Week 12 on a high note. He’ll have a little time off, as the Knicks don’t play again until Wednesday in Sacramento.
Jalen Brunson

NYK Guard #11

Jalen Brunson tallied 26 points (10-of-19 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, eight assists, one steal and three three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Trail Blazers.

It’s been over a month since Brunson last failed to score at least 20 points in a game, with that last occurring on December 2 in a loss to the Celtics. All five Knicks starters scored in double figures, and that balance likely helped Brunson. He shot over 50 percent from the field and committed just two turnovers. The Knicks play three games in Week 13, starting with the Kings on Wednesday.
Josh Hart

NYK Guard #3

Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart, OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns will start Sunday’s game against the Trail Blazers.

The big news is that Hart is back from a high right ankle sprain. In addition to starting, he will not be restricted in any way. As a result, Miles McBride heads to the bench, which lowers his fantasy ceiling.

Guerschon Yabusele (quad) is out for Sunday’s game against the Trail Blazers.

Yabusele was initially listed as questionable with a quad injury. The 30-year-old power forward missed Friday’s game against the Suns, though his absence doesn’t impact the Knicks rotation or fantasy basketball significantly. With Josh Hart (ankle) returning, Yabusele might not have played even if he were available.

Hart was initially listed as questionable with a high right ankle sprain. The 30-year-old shooting guard missed the last eight games with the injury. Hart could be on a minutes limit in his first game back Sunday and Miles McBride could remain in the starting lineup ahead of him.
Landry Shamet

Landry Shamet (shoulder) has been cleared for contact.

Clared to resume basketball activities a few days after Christmas, Shamet has recently done some controlled contact work, according to Knicks head coach Mike Brown. He still doesn’t have a clearly defined return timeline, so the Knicks will continue without one of their reserve wings for the time being.
Guerschon Yabusele

Guerschon Yabusele (quad) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Trail Blazers.

Yabusele did not play in Friday’s loss to the Suns, and his absence did not significantly affect the Knicks’ rotation or fantasy basketball. And with Josh Hart (ankle) also questionable for Sunday, Yabusele could fall out of the rotation entirely.
