Joel Embiid has embraced former Philadelphia 76ers GM Sam Hinkie’s methodology. “Trust the Process” has been a common phrase across the NBA with regard to the Sixers, and Embiid has even been introduced during lineups as “The Process”.
Now, it looks like the Cameroonian center is taking it a step further. Embiid appears to have filed for a trademark on “The Process”.
Thanks to the folks over at Crossing Broad, it appears that Embiid has filed two requests with the help of CAA, his agency.
The two filings are listed as for rubber bracelets, children’s books, pre-bottled Shirley Temple drinks, shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, sweatpants, hats, and flip flops.
This is an amazing marketing scheme and I’m all for supporting it.
Someone please buy me some flip flops with “The Process” on them.
