As the regular season approaches, teams have begun making cuts from their training-camp rosters to get their counts down to 15. The Mavericks waived four players on Saturday, including veteran center Samuel Dalembert, who was on a fully guaranteed deal. From the team’s press release:

The Dallas Mavericks announced today they have requested waivers on Sam Dalembert, Brandon Ashley, Tu Holloway and Jamil Wilson.
Dalembert (6-11, 250) played in four games (one start) this preseason and averaged 4.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 12.8 minutes. He missed the final three games of the exhibition season with a left leg injury.
