Stephen Curry sets record for 3-pointers in a Finals

Stephen Curry did something notable last night.

No, not that.

The Warriors guard made his 28th 3-pointer of the 2016 NBA Finals, setting a record for 3s made in a Finals:

It doesn’t feel like Curry is making 43% of his 3-pointers, but here we are. Even when he looks like he’s slumping, Curry is setting a record for volume while maintaining excellent efficiency from beyond the arc.

And he can build on his record in Game 7.

Curry’s 4.7 3s made per game is also on track to be a Finals record. He’s not just benefitting from this series getting extended. In fact, the only other time someone made more than four 3-pointers per game in a Finals was Curry last year (4.2).
