Tony Parker free agency rumors will have to wait.
Again.
Parker signed a rookie-scale contract in 2001, a six-year, $66 million extension in 2004 and a four-year, $50 million extension in 2008. In 2015, he was set to become a free agent for the first time after making $12.5 million next season.
But, once again, the Spurs will keep him off the market.

Parker’s maximum extension can be three years and $43,335,938 – $14,445,313 per season. It sounds as if he’ll get that full amount with Wojnarowski rounding up.
But even at that full price, keeping the 32-year-old Parker is a boon for the Spurs. When you’re contending, you don’t mess that up. That level is too hard to reach.
The Spurs will never, ever, ever go away. At one point, it seemed next season could be the last hurrah. The contracts of Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili expire after the season, and so did Parker’s.
But now Parker will be back for more, and so will Gregg Popovich. If the Spurs keeps winning – and they’re among the 2014-15 favorites – will Duncan and Ginobili be tempted to re-up too?
