Holmgren was excellent in Game 4 with 24 points, 12 rebounds, two three-pointers and two steals. The 23-year-old center was +21 in 34 minutes as the Thunder took Game 4 by nine points. OKC won every game in the series by at least nine points. The Thunder are on the fast track to repeating as champions with a first round sweep of the Suns.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 31 points (10-of-17 FGs, 9-of-11 FTs), two rebounds, eight assists, one block and two three-pointers in the Thunder’s 131-122 Game 4 victory over the Suns on Monday.

Gilgeous-Alexander put on a show again as he continued to dominate the Suns in this series. Over the last three games, the 27-year-old point guard 36.7 points and 8.3 assists while shooting 63.3 percent from the field. 41.7 percent from behind the three-point line and 90.6 percent from the free throw line. With the Thunder advancing, they’ll take on the winner of the Rockets and Lakers series.

Isaiah Joe (personal) is not on the injury report for Monday’s Game 4 against the Suns.

Joe has rejoined the Thunder after missing Saturday’s Game 3 victory for personal reasons. He’ll provide additional depth on the wings as Oklahoma City continues without the injured Jalen Williams (hamstring).

Jalen Williams’ absence due to a strained hamstring did not result in more shot attempts for Holmgren in Game 3. In fact, his attempts were cut in half compared to Game 2 on Wednesday. The good news is that the 7-foot-1 forward/center provided three defensive contributions and seven rebounds in 29 minutes on the floor. The Thunder may not need much offense from Holmgren to close out the Suns, but the competition will get stronger as the team advances.

Ajay Mitchell accounted for 15 points (5-of-20 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, two assists and one three-pointer in Saturday’s Game 3 win over the Suns.

With no Jalen Williams, who’s week-to-week with a hamstring injury, Mitchell entered the Thunder starting lineup for Game 3. Unsurprisingly, the Suns were fine with the second-year guard getting up shots, and his 20 attempts led Oklahoma City. Mitchell did not shoot the ball well, making 25 percent of his attempts, but the Thunder had enough production from other players to compensate. Just as important was his not hesitating to take those shots, and Oklahoma City will want that to remain the case in Game 4 on Monday.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished Saturday’s Game 3 win over the Suns with 42 points (15-of-18 FGs, 11-of-12 FTs), four rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one three-pointer.

The Suns threw their best punch to begin Game 3, but it wasn’t enough to knock the reigning champs off their stride. And Gilgeous-Alexander, the reigning league MVP, had a lot to do with that. He made his first seven shot attempts and finished with a playoff career-high 42 points. Gilgeous-Alexander missed just three shots from the field on the day, and the Thunder are one win away from moving on to the second round. Game 4 is on Monday night.

Isaiah Joe (personal) is out for Saturday’s Game 3 against the Suns.

Joe was listed as doubtful for personal reasons on Friday’s injury report, so his absence doesn’t come as a surprise. He had six points in 15 minutes off the bench in Wednesday’s Game 2 victory. A limited bench player, Joe isn’t a significant loss for the defending champion Thunder.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Jalen Williams has sustained a Grade 1 left hamstring strain and will be re-evaluated on a weekly basis.

Jay Dub will be out for at least a week as the Thunder head to Phoenix. His absence means that Cason Wallace, Alex Caruso and Aaron Wiggins could all see additional run.

Williams got off to a blazing-hot start in Wednesday’s contest, scoring all 19 of his points in the first half, missing only one shot along the way; he scored it effectively both inside and outside the paint. Yet, his night ended prematurely after injuring his hamstring midway through the third quarter on a driving layup attempt. He exited the game at the next deadball, exited to the locker room, and never returned to the game. Williams was never officially ruled out, so perhaps that’s an encouraging sign ahead of Game 3. His status is certainly one to monitor over the coming days.
