Anthony Black (ankle) is available for Sunday’s game against the Knicks.
Black is set to make his first appearance of the season after missing Orlando’s first two games with a sprained right ankle. It’s unclear how much he’ll play, but the athletic guard’s return is good news for a Magic squad that lost Paolo Banchero (ankle) during Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves.

Anthony Black (ankle) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Knicks.
Black has missed the first two games of the season, but at least has a chance to suit up Sunday given his questionable listing. With Paolo Banchero (ankle) likely out, the Magic could certainly use Black back in the lineup.
Paolo Banchero
ORL
Forward
#5
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports Paolo Banchero suffered a low-grade high ankle sprain and could miss 4-to-6 weeks.
Banchero tweaked his right ankle early in Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves. The 23-year-old forward returned after going to the locker room, but the team shut him down midway through the fourth quarter. A high ankle sprain could sideline Banchero for 4-to-6 weeks, which is potentially devastating news for the 0-2 Magic. Orlando will the face the Knicks on Sunday and at this point it’s unlikely Banchero suits up with Tristan da Silva being the most likely to replace him in the starting lineup.
Wendell Carter
ORL
Center-Forward
#34
Wendell Carter Jr. amassed 20 points (8-of-9 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), nine rebounds, one assist, two blocks and three three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves.
The offseason signing of Nikola Vučević hasn’t hurt Carter’s playing time, as Vooch has been third in Orlando’s center pecking order in the first two games. After logging 31 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Hawks, Carter played 29 minutes against the Timberwolves and led the Magic in points, rebounds, blocks, and three-pointers. He’s never been a great fantasy option, especially in category leagues, but Carter’s start to the season has been encouraging.
Desmond Bane
ORL
Guard
#3
Desmond Bane accounted for five points (2-of-11 FGs), two rebounds, one steal and one three-pointer in Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves.
Bane had a night to forget, struggling on both ends of the floor before fouling out with 10:31 remaining in the fourth quarter. The Magic guard shot 1-of-9 from beyond the arc and offered little value beyond his lone steal. Given his track record, fantasy managers who are rostering Bane shouldn’t panic over one performance. He’ll look to bounce back on Sunday when the Magic visit the Knicks.
Franz Wagner
ORL
Forward
#22
Franz Wagner tallied 18 points (7-of-14 FGs, 3-of-6 FTs), six rebounds, five assists, one steal and one three-pointer in Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves.
Wagner played 32 minutes before fouling out of Friday’s defeat with a little over three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. While he shot a solid overall field-goal percentage, the Magic forward made 3-of-6 from the foul line and committed six turnovers. Over two games, Wagner has recorded 10 assists and nine turnovers, something he’ll need to clean up. Orlando ends its Week 1 with a game against the Knicks on Sunday.
Jalen Suggs
ORL
Guard
#4
Jalen Suggs finished Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves with 14 points (6-of-12 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), six rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block and one three-pointer.
Fantasy managers don’t have to worry about a game’s outcome, so those rostering Suggs may have been pleased with his night. The Magic point guard recorded a complete stat line against the Timberwolves, shooting 50 percent from the field. Depending on Paolo Banchero’s status after injuring his right ankle in the third quarter, Suggs may have more scoring opportunities in Sunday’s game against the Knicks.
Paolo Banchero
ORL
Forward
#5
Paolo Banchero (ankle) finished Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves with 14 points (6-of-11 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, five assists and one steal.
Banchero and the Magic fell to 0-2 on Friday, and his right ankle injury made matters worse. While crashing for a rebound early in the third quarter, Banchero collided with teammate Jalen Suggs and tweaked his right ankle. Banchero returned after a quick trip to the locker room, but the team decided halfway through the fourth quarter to shut him down for the rest of the night. The Magic visit the Knicks on Sunday; if Banchero can’t play, Tristan da Silva is the most likely replacement in the starting lineup.
Paolo Banchero

Forward
#5
Paolo Banchero (ankle) has returned to Friday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Banchero tweaked his right ankle early in the third quarter, forcing him to head to the locker room. He has since returned to action, which is great for Magic fans and fantasy managers alike.

Paolo Banchero (ankle) returned to the Magic locker room during the third quarter of Friday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Banchero appeared to tweak his right ankle while crashing for a rebound early in the third quarter after colliding with teammate Jalen Suggs. He has since gone back to the locker room for further evaluation. Tristan da Silva has entered the lineup and should play more if Banchero can’t return.
