Collin Gillespie finished with 17 points (6-of-15 FGs), six rebounds, five assists, two steals, one block and five three-pointers against the Cavaliers on Wednesday.

Gillespie has been an excellent fantasy option for most of this season, but his recent stretch has been one of his best this season. Over his last three games, he has averaged 19.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 5.0 three-pointers per game while shooting 51.2 percent from the floor. Gillespie is somehow available in 62 percent of Yahoo! leagues, but he should be considered a must-roster player.

Dillon Brooks lit up the Cavaliers with 20 points (7-of-15 FGs), three rebounds, three assists, three steals and two three-pointers on Wednesday.

Brooks kept the Suns afloat in the first half by scoring 20 points before the break. However, he wasn’t able to add to his scoring total in the third or fourth quarter. Brooks has enjoyed the best scoring season of his career this year, and this was poised to be a big night. He just wasn’t able to take advantage of the opportunity. However, he was able to contribute three steals in a game for the first time since mid-November.
Devin Booker

Devin Booker led the Suns with 32 points (13-of-25 FGs), two rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in a 129-113 loss to the Cavaliers on Wednesday.

It was a rough first half for Booker, but he came alive after the break. He scored 19 points in the third quarter and ended up having a big scoring night after shooting below 40 percent in the Suns’ two previous games. It wasn’t enough for Phoenix to win, and it has been a rough season overall for Booker. However, this was a strong performance for him, and he’ll look to stay hot against the Kings on Friday.

Grayson Allen (knee) is out for Wednesday’s matchup with the Cavaliers.

Allen will miss a seventh straight game to end the calendar year, which means Royce O’Neale should remain in the starting lineup. Collin Gillespie, however, has been the biggest beneficiary of Allen’s absence.

Allen has missed Phoenix’s last six games due to right knee injury management, and that unfortunate streak appears likely to reach seven on Wednesday. Royce O’Neale will remain in the starting lineup as long as Allen is out, and he’s worth a look for managers needing three-pointers and steals.

With Mark Williams serving a one-game suspension for fighting during Saturday’s win over the Pelicans, Ighodaro made his second straight start and seventh of the season. The second-year forward/center didn’t do much scoring, but he provided solid value in rebounds, assists and steals. Nick Richards was also productive, tallying nine rebounds and three blocks in 17 minutes off the bench. Williams will be available for Wednesday’s game against the Cavaliers, which will likely push Richards out of the rotation.
Dillon Brooks

Dillon Brooks accumulated 26 points (8-of-20 FGs, 7-of-7 FTs), three rebounds and three three-pointers in Monday’s win over the Wizards.

Brooks has now scored 20 points or more in 14 games this season, one more than his total for the entire 2024-25 campaign. He has been given more leeway offensively in Phoenix than he was in either Houston or Memphis, and the approach has not backfired on the Suns. While Brooks is still ranked outside the top-100 in eight- and nine-cat formats, the issue has been the decreased defensive production, not his offense.

Devin Booker tallied 22 points (8-of-23 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs), six rebounds, five assists, one steal and one three-pointer in Monday’s win over the Wizards.

Booker didn’t have a great night shooting the basketball, but the overall stat line was solid for the Suns’ star. The most significant issue for him recently has been turnovers, but Booker only committed two against the Wizards. Based on personnel alone, Wednesday’s matchup with the Cavaliers stands to be more challenging; hopefully, Booker can knock down shots at a higher clip than he did on Monday.

Collin Gillespie finished Monday’s win over the Wizards with 25 points (10-of-14 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, two steals and five three-pointers.

Gillespie has now hit at least four three-pointers in four straight games, the second time he’s accomplished that feat this season. The Suns guard has emerged as a dependable fantasy option, whether he comes off the bench or starts as he currently is. However, despite being close to a top-50 player, Gillespie is still rostered in 36 percent of Yahoo! leagues. That number should increase ahead of Wednesday’s game against the Cavaliers.
