Harrison Barnes (ankle) amassed 20 points (6-of-10 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and two three-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the Nuggets.

After a five-game absence, Barnes did not miss a beat on Thursday. With a stat line that only lacked a blocked shot, the 20 points were the most in a game for the veteran forward since December 23, when he hit that number in a win over the Thunder. Barnes’ return meant less playing time for Carter Bryant, who finished with 10 points, three rebounds, one assist and one three-pointer in nine minutes.
De'Aaron Fox

SAS Guard #4

De’Aaron Fox tallied 27 points (10-of-19 FGs, 3-of-6 FTs), three rebounds, nine assists, two steals and four three-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the Nuggets.

While the foul shooting remains problematic, Fox’s overall stat line in Thursday’s defeat was one that most fantasy managers will take. He’s now recorded nine assists or more in four straight appearances, the Spurs’ guard’s most productive run in that category this season. Also, he’s scored at least 20 points in three straight and four of his last five.
Devin Vassell

SAS Guard-Forward #24

Devin Vassell finished Thursday’s loss to the Nuggets with 18 points (5-of-14 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), one rebound, three assists, two steals and four three-pointers.

After shooting 6-of-8 from three in a March 3 blowout of the 76ers, Vassell would shoot 5-of-21 from beyond the arc in the following four games. He snapped out of that slump on Thursday, knocking down four of his ten attempts. The overall stat line was solid, and Vassell has been a top-100 player since the All-Star break. He’ll look to finish Week 20 in a high note when the Spurs host the Hornets on Saturday.
Stephon Castle

SAS Guard #5

Stephon Castle accounted for 30 points (7-of-15 FGs, 12-of-13 FTs), 11 rebounds, 10 assists and four three-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the Nuggets.

Castle had an excellent night, albeit in a losing effort. The second-year guard picked up the slack on a night when the Spurs didn’t have Victor Wembanyama (ankle), recording his third career triple-double. Just as positive for fantasy managers is that Castle continues to take better care of the basketball. Counting Thursday, he’s recorded two assists or fewer in seven of his last eight appearances. The Spurs host the Hornets on Saturday in what could be another high-scoring affair.
Luke Kornet

SAS Center-Forward #7

Stephon Castle, De’Aaron Fox, Devin Vassell, Julian Champagnie and Luke Kornet will start Thursday’s game against the Nuggets.

The Spurs won’t have Victor Wembanyama, who’s missing a game for the first time since early January with a sore right ankle. Kornet moves into the starting lineup, which makes him a worthwhile streamer. Mason Plumlee may also see some action off the bench in what would be his Spurs debut.

Harrison Barnes (ankle) is available to play against the Nuggets on Thursday.

Barnes will return after missing San Antonio’s last five games. Carter Bryant has taken on extra minutes off the bench with Barnes sidelined, though that hasn’t led to much fantasy production. However, he’ll likely lose minutes with Barnes back.
Lindy Waters

Lindy Waters III (illness) is available for Thursday’s game against the Nuggets.

Waters is good to go for Thursday’s game, but so is Harrison Barnes (ankle). As a result, fantasy managers can leave Waters on the waiver wire.

Victor Wembanyama (ankle) has been ruled out against the Nuggets on Thursday.

Wemby will miss a game for the first time since early January. He could return to take on the Hornets on Saturday, but Luke Kornet should enter the starting unit for this game and try to slow down Nikola Jokic.
Lindy Waters

Lindy Waters III (illness) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Nuggets.

Waters’ availability does not affect fantasy basketball, as he is not guaranteed to play rotation minutes when available. And with Harrison Barnes potentially returning from an ankle injury, there will be even fewer opportunities available to Waters.

Victor Wembanyama (ankle) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Nuggets.

Wembanyama is dealing with right ankle soreness after playing 37 minutes in Tuesday’s win over the Celtics. If he were to sit out Thursday’s game, the Spurs would turn to Luke Kornet to fill the resulting void in the starting lineup.
