With Devin Vassell (ankle) sidelined, Barnes will make a return to the starting unit for the first time since before the All-Star break. Barnes isn’t a reliable fantasy option, but the extra minutes as a starter should result in a little extra production.

Vassell is dealing with left ankle soreness and will miss the second leg of San Antonio’s back-to-back set. Carter Bryant and Keldon Johnson could see bumps in playing time as a result of Vassell’s absence.

Vassell’s three-point shooting was the highlight of his outing on Monday. He was San Antonio’s leader in three-point makes, which allowed him to finish as one of four Spurs with at least 20 points against Los Angeles. The sixth-year guard’s production has gradually slipped over the past couple of years as his role has changed, but performances like Monday’s show that he’s still a capable scorer on a nightly basis. He could look to secure back-to-back 20-point games when the Spurs face the Kings on Tuesday.

Stephon Castle amassed 23 points (9-of-19 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), seven rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one three-pointer in the win over the Clippers on Monday.

Castle did a little bit of everything in Monday’s four-point win. In addition to finishing as the Spurs’ leading scorer, he tallied a team-high in assists and was one of San Antonio’s better rebounders on the evening. Inefficient three-point shooting and some ball-security struggles are arguably Castle’s only weaknesses in this game. He’s flirted with two straight double-doubles after securing one against the Nuggets on March 12; he’ll be on triple-double watch on Thursday against the Kings.

Victor Wembanyama amassed 21 points (9-of-20 FGs, 1-of-3 FTs), 13 rebounds, two assists, one steal, four blocks and two three-pointers in the win over the Clippers on Monday.

Wemby worked his way to double-double No. 34 on the season on Monday in his 34 minutes of game action. The former first-overall pick didn’t have one of his more efficient shooting performances, thanks to struggles from beyond the arc, but still did enough damage to finish the game as one of four Spurs players to score at least 20 points. He led the team in rebounding and was dominant on the defensive end, coming away with five stocks. Wemby’s floor remains as high as any other player’s the rest of the fantasy season. His production shouldn’t slip, barring something unforeseen happening.

Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson is optimistic that Dylan Harper (calf) and Luke Kornet (knee) will be available for Tuesday’s game against the Kings.

Harper and Kornet were ruled out for Monday’s game against the Clippers, with the former missing a second straight contest. However, both could be back as soon as Tuesday night. While Johnson did not guarantee that Harper and Kornet would play, he did say they’ll be back “very, very soon,” if not on Tuesday. Carter Bryant has picked up additional minutes on the wing, while Mason Plumlee and Kelly Olynyk may see a few minutes on Monday after not playing in Saturday’s win over the Hornets.

Due to soreness in his right knee, Kornet will not play on Monday. Mason Plumlee and Kelly Olynyk can handle the backup center responsibilities, but neither player should be rostered in fantasy leagues since Victor Wembanyama is available.

Monday’s game will be the second that Harper has missed since suffering a right calf contusion during Thursday’s loss to the Nuggets. As a result, fellow rookie Carter Bryant picked up additional playing time in Harper’s absence on Saturday.
