The Jaguars have 45 yards. They lead the Texans 17-0.
Jacksonville scored its first 10 points on drives of 26 and 19 yards after Texans’ turnovers. Their latest touchdown came on Parker Washington’s 73-yard punt return.
Washington also scored on a 7-yard touchdown reception.
Trevor Lawrence is only 4-of-7 for 25 yards and a touchdown. He also fumbled, though the Jaguars recovered.
It hasn’t mattered.
With Davis Mills playing for C.J. Stroud, the Texans have generated only 61 yards with an interception. They also fumbled a kickoff return.
The Texans have three plays and two turnovers. It’s that kind of day for the home team, playing without quarterback C.J. Stroud.
The Jaguars have cashed in with 10 points on drives of 26 and 19 yards.
Jaguars cornerback Jarrian Jones stepped in front of Christian Kirk for an interception of Davis Mills. That led to a 32-yard Cam Little field goal, as the Texans survived an unnecessary roughness penalty on Little’s first field goal try that gave the Jaguars a first down.
Texans returner Tremon Smith then fumbled Little’s kickoff with Ventrell Miller forcing it and Danny Striggow recovering it at the Houston 19.
The Jaguars reached the end zone in five plays, though it was close whether Parker Washington got his second foot down in bounds on the 7-yard touchdown pass. Officials on the field ruled a touchdown, and replay did not call for a full review of the play.
Trevor Lawrence is 1-of-4, with the touchdown his only completion.
The Bills are going to be thin at cornerback for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.
Christian Benford and Taron Johnson are both inactive for the divisional matchup. Benford was listed as questionable with a groin injury while Johnson had the same designation due to a groin injury.
Wide receiver Joshua Palmer is also out with knee and ankle injuries, but defensive lineman DaQuan Jones will play after joining the other three players in the questionable category.

Three weeks ago, Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair was flagged for unnecessary roughness but wasn’t fined. Last week, Al-Shaair wasn’t flagged for a hit on a defenseless player. He was, however, fined for it.
The league announced on Saturday that Al-Shaair will pay $17,389 for a hit on a defenseless player. it happened in the fourth quarter of the Week 9 loss to the Broncos, when Al-Shaair hit running back J.K. Dobbins after he caught a pass for a loss of two yards.
Last December, the league suspended Al-Shaair for three games after he hit Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence in the head with a forearm while Lawrence was sliding. Al-Shaair had a history of 13 violations and seven fines since 2020.
This is Al-Shaair’s third fine since his suspension. He drew a $20,555 fine for illegal use of his helmet during a playoff win over the Chargers. Al-Shaair also was fined $17,39 for a blatant (but unflagged) blow to the head of Titans quarterback Cam Ward in Week 4.
The Texans knew when the practice week began they wouldn’t have quarterback C.J. Stroud (concussion) or kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn (quad) for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.
They also won’t have right tackle Tytus Howard (concussion), right guard Ed Ingram (knee), defensive back Jalen Pitre (concussion), fullback Jakob Johnson (hamstring) or linebacker Christian Harris (shin).
Houston has ruled out all six of them.
Davis Mills will start in place of Stroud, with Blake Fisher at right tackle and Juice Scruggs at right guard.
The Texans list tight end Harrison Bryant (shoulder) as questionable after he returned to full participation in Friday’s practice.
Defensive end Will Anderson (quad) was upgraded to full participation on Friday, and he does not have an injury designation. He has six sacks and 12 quarterback hits this season.
