Washington, 24, is entering a contract year, coming off the best season of his career. He is reportedly expected to be the team’s No. 1 wide receiver. If Washington plays up to that standard, he will unquestionably be able to raise his asking price. Signing him to a deal right now could save the team money in the long term, but the front office evidently wants to see how he fares early in the year. Although this route could be costly, having a true No. 1 wide receiver affirm his financial value with top-tier play is a good problem to have.

According to ESPN’s Michael DiRocco, Lawrence’s offseason “was about gaining a graduate-level understanding” of coach Liam Coen’s offense. Last season, Lawrence was rehabbing an injury while attempting to change his footwork and adjust to a new play caller. He is now calmer and “can play more freely the way he did in the second half of last season.” Lawrence was the overall QB1 in total scoring from Weeks 9-18. If Lawrence and his pass catchers can carry the momentum into 2026, Lawrence can once again finish as an elite QB1, this time from Week 1 onward.

Edoga appeared in 14 games for the Jags last year and made two starts. He has 25 career starts across both tackle spots and left guard. Edoga will be a versatile depth option for the Ravens.

Coen talked up Ameer Abdullah as a potential replacement for Allen’s duties in pass protection. He also singled out Chris Rodriguez’s abilities in pass pro. Pass protection duties aren’t a direct source of fantasy value, but it usually means that player will be on the field for the two-minute drill, which can generate plenty of receptions for running backs. Bhayshul Tuten not getting those reps would be a notable ding to his fantasy outlook. Allen himself isn’t on the fantasy radar, healthy or not.

Meyers missed some time late in training camp with a thumb issue that forced him to wear a brace on his right hand. Coen specifically said that Brian Thomas Jr. (shoulder) was practicing in full and didn’t say the same of Meyers. It’s possible the team is working Meyers in more slowly as the season approaches. Still, even a limited practice more than a week ahead of Week 1 should put Meyers in line to play. Meyers will be in a supporting role behind Parker Washington and Brian Thomas Jr . this year. He will be a low-end FLEX play for the Jags’ opener versus Cleveland.

BTJ suffered a shoulder injury late in camp and has dealt with shoulder issues in the past, so this latest scare was a definite concern for fantasy managers and Jags fans alike. The good news is that he’s practicing in full over a week before the first game of the season. After a summer of hype for Parker Washington, Thomas Jr. is likely second in the pecking order for targets. Barring a setback with the shoulder injury, he should project for WR3 numbers in Jacksonville’s opener versus the Browns.

Mekari, who underwent back surgery, will miss at least the first four weeks of the season. We’d bet on him missing more than four. Emmanuel Pregnon seems likely to start at left guard for the Jaguars as a rookie.

Dallas was the odd man out in the backfield after the signing of Chris Rodriguez, ultimately prompting his release. The team will move forward with Bhayshul Tuten, Rodriguez, and LeQuint Allen atop the depth chart entering the regular season. Bad backup quarterback play was a staple of camp reports for the Jaguars, so they dealt for Quinn Ewers yesterday and will now eat $3 million in guaranteed money to cut Mullens. Mullens will look to catch on elsewhere as the roster dust settles.

The news was first reported by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Aguilar joined the Jaguars in April as a UDFA from Tennessee, where he played one season. Aguilar turned 25 in June and is unlikely to be claimed by another team. Fowler adds that the Jaguars hope Aguilar returns to the practice squad, which seems like the most likely scenario.
