Siemian played in Tennessee’s final two preseason games after signing with the team late in the 2024 season. He had a 74.1 PFF passing grade in 34 snaps. Paul Kurharsky reports the Titans want him on their practice squad. This means Brandon Allen has won the job to be Cam Ward’s backup.

The former first-round defensive end started 10 games for the Commanders in 2024, notching 26 tackles and 3.5 sacks across 14 appearances. Ferrell is well traveled at this point in his career but has mostly settled for a rotational role the previous three seasons with the Raiders, 49ers, and Commanders. His veteran status and continued production on the field could land him a new home via waivers over the coming 24 hours.

Rodrigue is encouraged by Stafford’s return to practice, but expressed concern regarding his ability to stay healthy if he takes “a bad hit.” She also notes that the Rams have built in “backstops” by constructing a deep roster, with the hopes of staying in the Super Bowl hunt even if Stafford misses time. When on the field, Stafford can be expected to facilitate high-end performances for Puka Nacua, Davante Adams and Kyren Williams. He makes for a shaky QB2 option, himself, though.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport believes “the door is open for a possible return” for Woods in Pittsburgh, so don’t fret too much if you’re dying to see Woods and Aaron Rodgers cook up a series of 3/26 lines down the stretch. For now, Woods loses out to Ben Skowronek and (likely) Scotty Miller on the back end of the Pittsburgh wideout depth chart.

It’s possible that this is just a short-term move the Saints have made knowing that nobody else is going to pick up Edwards-Helaire, and that they’ll sign him back to the practice squad or 53-man roster. CE-H played 33 snaps for the Saints in the preseason and is a logical third-down back fit behind Alvin Kamara, with the only problem being Kamara doesn’t really need to be taken off the field on third down. If the Saints decline to bring Edwards-Helaire back, Kendre Miller and Devin Neal will likely back up Kamara.

Smith has been linked to the Lions all offseason, with both sides noting that they had mutual interest and Brad Holmes hinting that Smith had no interest in going through training camp at this stage of his career. With Josh Paschal out an extended period of time, the Lions interest likely has only grown in a reunion at this point.

Spears will be forced to miss at least four games as he deals with his high-ankle sprain. The 24-year-old tailback’s workload will likely be replaced with a few more touches by Tony Pollard with Julius Chestnut operating as the backup tailback.

Johnson totaled 4,363 yards and 25 touchdowns over the first five years of his career with the Steelers, but his career came off the rails last year. After flaming out with the Panthers, Ravens and Texans in 2024, Johnson signed a $1.2 million contract containing no guaranteed money with the Browns. Now that the Browns are also moving on without Johnson, it’s unclear what the next step is for the 29-year-old receiver.

While DeVito was competing for the backup quarterback job in camp, he had little chance of making the Giants roster after New York brought in Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston and Jaxon Dart this offseason. The 27-year-old started six games with the Giants in 2023, throwing for eight touchdowns and three interceptions. DeVito is unlikely to be claimed by another team on waivers, meaning he’s destined for a practice squad. While carrying a fourth quarterback on the practice squad may be a little excessive, Wilson and Winston aren’t exactly spring chickens either and DeVito’s best path forward for his career may be to remain in the Giants organization.
