After firing Steve Nash, the Nets could look to Ime Udoka, Quin Snyder or others as their next head coach, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Jacque Vaughn will act as Brooklyn’s head coach against Chicago on Tuesday and probably until they decide on a more permanent solution. Udoka was an assistant with Brooklyn before taking Boston’s head coaching gig last season. He is suspended for this season after engaging in inappropriate workplace behavior, but Woj’s report indicates that Boston would let him take another job if he were offered one. Snyder’s success in Utah would make him another top candidate.

Nate Ament accounted for one point (1-of-4 FTs), three rebounds and one steal in Saturday’s loss to the 76ers.

Ament made his official NBA debut on Saturday, and unfortunately, it didn’t go well. The rookie missed his lone field-goal attempt and shot 1-of-4 from the foul line, while also picking up five fouls in 11 minutes. Even without LeBron James, Philadelphia isn’t a good matchup for Ament at this stage in his career. But it’s something to build on, and he’ll have plenty of chances to make good on his perceived upside throughout the season.

VJ Edgecombe amassed 17 points (5-of-13 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and five three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Bucks.

On a night when Joel Embiid recorded a triple-double, Edgecombe posted his eighth career double-double. The 76ers guard shot 5-of-10 from beyond the arc, a welcome development after going 1-of-7 from deep in wins over the Knicks and Cavaliers. Given Philadelphia’s offensive firepower, Edgecombe will get plenty of catch-and-shoot opportunities, even on nights when the rotation isn’t whole. Consistently taking advantage of those chances should raise his fantasy ceiling.

Tyrese Maxey recorded 26 points (9-of-22 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, four assists and four three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Bucks.

Maxey finished the first and third quarters of Saturday’s win with buzzer-beaters, with one being a half-court shot. The 76ers’ point guard has scored at least 26 points in all three games this season, attempting 19 shots or more in each. Neither Maxey’s usage nor his production has suffered so far, and he’s especially well-positioned to feast in back-to-backs. LeBron James sat out Saturday’s game, and Joel Embiid won’t play on Sunday against the Pistons, which should be good news for those rostering Maxey.

Jaylen Brown accounted for 27 points (9-of-19 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), three rebounds, five assists, three steals and three three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Bucks.

Brown did what he could to ensure that he’d celebrate a win on his 30th birthday, as he was one of three 76ers to score at least 26 points. According to NBC Sports Philadelphia, this is the first team JB has played on that has ranked in the top-10 in the league in pace. While it’s still extremely early, the returns have been positive for Brown and the 76ers. Philadelphia has one more Week 1 game, facing the Pistons on Sunday.

Dean Wade finished Saturday’s win over the Bucks with seven points (2-of-3 FGs, 1-of-3 FTs), two rebounds, three steals, one block and two three-pointers.

After missing Philadelphia’s first two games with an ankle injury, Wade made his 76ers debut as a starter, stepping in for LeBron James (sciatica). The veteran forward produced solid value in steals, blocks and three-pointers, but more encouraging was Wade’s ability to play close to 30 minutes. The 76ers face Detroit on Sunday, and they may decide to sit Wade for injury management reasons. Consider him questionable for that one.

Joel Embiid accounted for 28 points (8-of-20 FGs, 12-of-14 FTs), 11 rebounds, 10 assists and one steal in Saturday’s win over the Bucks.

Saturday went about as well as it could have for the 76ers. LeBron James (sciatica) didn’t play, which put more on Embiid’s plate. The big man did what was expected, recording his 10th career triple-double and dominating his matchup with Milwaukee’s Myles Turner. The 76ers face the Pistons on Sunday, and Embiid won’t play. That leaves it to LeBron to shoulder a heavier workload, provided he’s cleared to play.

Brandon Williams, Will Richard, Gui Santos, Yaxel Lendeborg and Graham Ike will start Saturday’s game against the Suns.

Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski and Draymond Green are all unavailable after starting Friday’s loss to the Grizzlies. They’ve been replaced in the starting lineup by Williams, Richard and Santos. Given the absences, all three are worth streaming in deep leagues, while Yaxel Lendeborg should already be rostered in standard leagues.

Charles Bassey (knee) is available for Saturday’s game against the Suns.

Bassey is set to make his first appearance of the season after missing the Warriors’ first two games. With Draymond Green (back) ruled out, Bassey should get rotation minutes, whether he starts or comes off the bench.

Grayson Allen provided a boost off the bench with 20 points (6-of-12 FGs), three rebounds, five assists, one steal and four three-pointers against the Heat on Saturday.

Allen hasn’t started in place of Kon Knueppel (hamstring), but he has been able to fill the shooting void. That included a clutch four-point play in this game, which gave the Hornets a lead that they didn’t relinquish. Allen is rostered in just 33 percent of Yahoo! leagues, but with how many threes Charlotte shoots as a team, Allen should be rostered until Knueppel returns.

Dennis Schröder lit up the Heat with 25 points (8-of-17 FGs), six rebounds, four assists and three three-pointers on Saturday.

After struggling in Friday’s blowout loss to the Hawks, Schröder was able to bounce back with his best performance of the season. Two of his three starts in place of Coby White (calf) have been productive, with the one poor performance coming in a 47-point loss that was bad for the entire team. Schröder is worth streaming until White returns to the lineup. He’s currently rostered in just 26 percent of Yahoo! leagues.
