Jordan Poole tallied 11 points (3-of-9 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), four rebounds, four assists, one block and one three-pointer in Friday’s win over Melbourne United.
Poole made his unofficial Pelicans debut on Friday, starting and playing 20 minutes in the team’s preseason victory in Australia. With Dejounte Murray (Achilles) sidelined, Poole stands to have the ball in his hands quite often to serve as an on-ball playmaker. However, that’s also the case for Zion Williamson (five assists, two turnovers), who led the Pelicans in assists on Friday and offered a slightly better assist-to-turnover ratio than Poole (four assists, three turnovers). Murray’s absence does raise Poole’s fantasy ceiling, but fantasy managers also have to consider that he’s adjusting to a new team.

CJ McCollum accounted for 20 points (8-of-16 FGs), two rebounds, one assist and four three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Heat.
Clippers' Mathurin 'certainly worth picking up'
Eric Samulski discusses Bennedict Mathurin's 38-point performance for the Clippers vs. the Nuggets and urges fantasy managers to add him to their lineups while he gets "heavy usage" with Darius Garland out.
  • Nickeil Alexander-Walker finished Friday’s loss to the Heat with 20 points (8-of-18 FGs), three rebounds, three assists and four three-pointers.
  • ATL Forward #1
Jalen Johnson recorded 16 points (6-of-22 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), 16 rebounds, 11 assists and two three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Heat.
  • ATL Forward-Center #17
Onyeka Okongwu amassed 22 points (8-of-12 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and four three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Heat.
  • NOP Forward #1
Zion Williamson logged 32 points (13-of-17 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), two rebounds and two assists in Friday’s loss to the Bucks.
Williamson was hard to stop on the offensive end of the floor, with all 13 of his baskets coming inside the paint. His interior dominance led him to reach the 30-point mark as a scorer for the fifth time this season. The former No. 1 pick didn’t provide much else aside from scoring, but his ability to put the ball in the basket on Friday was alone enough for a good fantasy performance.
  • MIA Center #7
Kel’el Ware finished Friday’s win over the Hawks with 14 points (6-of-15 FGs), 12 rebounds, one assist and two three-pointers.
  • MIA Guard #14
Tyler Herro (ribs) accounted for 24 points (9-of-14 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, three assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Hawks.
  • MIA Guard #24
Norman Powell amassed 15 points (5-of-13 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), three rebounds, two assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Hawks.
  • MIA Center-Forward #13
Bam Adebayo finished Friday’s win over the Hawks with 17 points (8-of-14 FGs, 0-of-2 FTs), eight rebounds, five assists, one steal and one three-pointer.
  • MIL Guard-Forward #7
Kevin Porter Jr. amassed 25 points (10-of-15 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), two rebounds, seven assists and two steals on Friday in the win over the Pelicans.
Porter Jr. was one of three Milwaukee backcourt members to thrive against the Pelicans on Friday. He finished with at least 25 points, as did the other two Bucks guards, and he also led the team in assists. The veteran point guard has dished out at least seven assists in seven consecutive games, and could realistically extend his streak to eight against the Raptors on Sunday. He’s produced some good numbers since returning from early-season injury.
