Lauri Markkanen returned to the lineup on Tuesday and finished with 19 points (5-of-15 FGs), five rebounds, four assists, two blocks and three three-pointers in a 115-103 loss to the Clippers.
Following a seven-game absence, Markkanen was back in the lineup for this game. However, it wasn’t the triumphant return that managers were hoping for. He was held to fewer than 20 points for the first time since Dec. 5, but the positive part is that he’s back out on the floor. Markkanen shouldn’t struggle like this often, and he’ll look to get back on track in their next game. This was the first night of a back-to-back, so Markkanen could get the night off on Wednesday after an extended absence, even if it was because of an illness.
