James Harden finished Tuesday’s win over the Pistons with 18 points (5-of-17 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), six rebounds, seven assists and two three-pointers.

The showdown between Harden and Detroit’s Cade Cunningham was one in which both players struggled to knock down shots. Given the defensive abilities of both teams, that isn’t surprising. However, one of the differences for Cleveland was that Harden received more help from the other guards in the rotation. Dennis Schröder (15/5/5 with two three-pointers), Craig Porter Jr. (7/8/3 with one three-pointer) and Keon Ellis (7/3/2/2/1) all gave the Cavaliers good minutes off the bench against the team with the best record in the East.
Evan Mobley

CLE Center #4

Evan Mobley amassed 18 points (5-of-9 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), five rebounds, four assists, two steals and two three-pointers in Tuesday’s win over the Pistons.

While he only attempted nine shots on the night, Mobley was efficient with his opportunities. And the overall line only lacked a blocked shot, with the forward/center being left to do a bit more following Jarrett Allen’s exit due to a right knee injury. The Cavaliers won’t play again until Sunday; hopefully, Allen’s injury isn’t serious, and the time off ensures that he’s available for their matchup with the Celtics.
Jaylon Tyson

CLE Guard-Forward #20

Jaylon Tyson accounted for 22 points (8-of-15 FGs, 1-of-3 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, two blocks and five three-pointers in Tuesday’s win over the Pistons.

With the Cavaliers once again without Donovan Mitchell and James Harden shooting 5-of-17 from the field, they needed more from the supporting cast on Tuesday. Tyson stepped up in a big way, leading the team in scoring while shooting 5-of-9 from beyond the arc. Add in the production in the other categories, and the second-year wing had another quality night as far as fantasy basketball is concerned. Tyson’s fantasy ceiling depends somewhat on who isn’t available, but he’s been good enough to merit trust in some 12-team leagues.
Jarrett Allen

Jarrett Allen (knee) is doubtful to return to Tuesday’s game against the Pistons.

Allen suffered a right knee injury during the third quarter of Tuesday’s game and is unlikely to return. His absence will likely result in more playing time for Thomas Bryant, especially during periods when Evan Mobley is not on the floor. Allen played 21 minutes before the injury, tallying eight points, three rebounds and one steal.
Dean Wade

Dean Wade (ankle) has been ruled out against the Pistons on Tuesday.

This will be a third straight absence for Wade, which will likely result in another start for Jaylon Tyson. Though he didn’t do much in their last game against the Nets, Tyson has enjoyed an excellent second season and will have streaming appeal with Donovan Mitchell (groin) still out as well.

Dean Wade (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Pistons.

Wade has missed Cleveland’s last two games with a sprained right ankle, with Jaylon Tyson replacing him in the starting lineup. If Wade can’t go on Tuesday, the second-year wing will get another start, raising his fantasy ceiling.
Donovan Mitchell

Donovan Mitchell (groin) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Pistons.

Tuesday’s game will be the fourth that Mitchell has missed with a strained groin, including two matchups with the Pistons. Sam Merrill has been his replacement in the starting lineup, and that should remain the case until Mitchell is cleared to play.
Evan Mobley

Evan Mobley had 17 points (6-of-12 FGs, 5-of-10 FTs), 13 rebounds, two assists and one block in Sunday’s win over the Nets.

Mobley played 37 minutes in Friday’s overtime loss to the Pistons, which was the most he’s played since injuring his calf. The 24-year-old center only played 27 minutes on Sunday, but was excellent with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Mobley should have more responsibility in the offense as long as Donovan Mitchell is still sidelined.
James Harden

James Harden had 22 points (5-of-9 FGs, 8-of-12 FTs), nine rebounds, eight assists and four three-pointers in the Cavaliers’ 106-102 victory over the Nets on Sunday.

Harden returned after missing two games with a fractured right thumb and led the Cavaliers to victory without Donovan Mitchell on Sunday. The 36-year-old point guard had five turnovers, but overall was effective in his 36 minutes. The Cavaliers have just two games in the upcoming week, which could benefit Harden as he continues to play through the injury.

James Harden, Sam Merrill, Jaylon Tyson, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen will start Sunday’s game against the Nets.

After missing two games with a fractured right thumb, Harden is available and back in the starting lineup. Dennis Schröder returns to the bench, where his fantasy value takes a hit. Donovan Mitchell and Dean Wade remain out due to injury, so Merrill and Tyson remain in the starting lineup.
