Having missed Cleveland’s last four games with a strained groin, Mitchell participated in Friday’s practice and is on track to return Sunday afternoon. He’ll likely bump Sam Merrill to the bench if allowed to play against the Celtics.

Allen exited Tuesday’s win over Detroit early, and the injury could cost him a game. Fortunately, the Cavaliers don’t play again until Sunday, so fantasy managers should keep an eye on Allen’s practice availability.

Donovan Mitchell (groin) and Dean Wade (ankle) practiced on Friday, according to Cavaliers reporter Chris Fedor.

Max Strus (foot) also participated. The practice is good news for fantasy managers rostering Mitchell and potentially streaming Wade. All three have a chance to take the court for Sunday’s matchup with the Celtics.
James Harden

James Harden finished Tuesday’s win over the Pistons with 18 points (5-of-17 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), six rebounds, seven assists and two three-pointers.

The showdown between Harden and Detroit’s Cade Cunningham was one in which both players struggled to knock down shots. Given the defensive abilities of both teams, that isn’t surprising. However, one of the differences for Cleveland was that Harden received more help from the other guards in the rotation. Dennis Schröder (15/5/5 with two three-pointers), Craig Porter Jr. (7/8/3 with one three-pointer) and Keon Ellis (7/3/2/2/1) all gave the Cavaliers good minutes off the bench against the team with the best record in the East.
Evan Mobley

Evan Mobley amassed 18 points (5-of-9 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), five rebounds, four assists, two steals and two three-pointers in Tuesday’s win over the Pistons.

While he only attempted nine shots on the night, Mobley was efficient with his opportunities. And the overall line only lacked a blocked shot, with the forward/center being left to do a bit more following Jarrett Allen’s exit due to a right knee injury. The Cavaliers won’t play again until Sunday; hopefully, Allen’s injury isn’t serious, and the time off ensures that he’s available for their matchup with the Celtics.

Jaylon Tyson accounted for 22 points (8-of-15 FGs, 1-of-3 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, two blocks and five three-pointers in Tuesday’s win over the Pistons.

With the Cavaliers once again without Donovan Mitchell and James Harden shooting 5-of-17 from the field, they needed more from the supporting cast on Tuesday. Tyson stepped up in a big way, leading the team in scoring while shooting 5-of-9 from beyond the arc. Add in the production in the other categories, and the second-year wing had another quality night as far as fantasy basketball is concerned. Tyson’s fantasy ceiling depends somewhat on who isn’t available, but he’s been good enough to merit trust in some 12-team leagues.
