Kevin Huerter missed both of his shot attempts in Thursday’s loss to the Wizards, going scoreless with one rebound, one assist and one steal.

Huerter made his Pistons’ debut on Thursday, but he wasn’t on the floor long. He played six minutes during the first half and did not see the floor again. Adding Huerter gives the Pistons another shooter to work into the rotation, but this may be a case where he proves more critical to his new team than to fantasy managers. Which isn’t much of a change from his time in Chicago.

Ron Holland finished Thursday’s loss to the Wizards with 11 points (4-of-9 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocked shot.

With Jalen Duren not returning for the second half of Thursday’s game due to a sore right knee, Holland joined the starters to begin the third quarter. The second-year wing recorded his first double-double and three “stocks” in what was a productive night. Detroit was also without Tobias Harris for Thursday’s game; how this performance affects Holland’s fantasy prospects moving forward depends on Harris and Duren’s availability.

Cade Cunningham accounted for 30 points (10-of-21 FGs, 10-of-13 FTs), eight rebounds, eight assists and one block in Thursday’s loss to the Wizards.

It’s fair to question if Friday’s showdown with the Knicks was on the Pistons’ minds, as they started slowly in a game the Wizards would lead wire-to-wire. Cunningham did his best to lead Detroit back, scoring a game-high 30 points. Finishing two rebounds and two assists shy of a triple-double, Cunningham will look to get the Pistons back on track Friday night.

Jalen Duren (knee) will not return to Thursday’s game against the Wizards.

Duren looked like a shell of himself in the 13 first-half minutes he played, and with good reason. The first-time All-Star has since been ruled out for the rest of the night with a sore right knee, finishing with four points and three rebounds. Ron Holland replaced Duren in the lineup to begin the second half.

Tobias Harris (hip) is out for Thursday’s game against the Wizards.

Harris’ sore left hip will keep him out of Thursday’s game, with a home matchup against the Knicks looming on Friday. Isaiah Stewart will move into the starting lineup, joining Cade Cunningham, Duncan Robinson, Ausar Thompson and Jalen Duren.

Initially questionable for Thursday’s game, Cunningham is good to go. He’ll take on his usual role as the Pistons’ starting point guard. And with this matchup in particular, Cunningham managers must ensure that he’s in their active lineups.

Daniss Jenkins (G-League) has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Wizards.

This is not an injury designation. Jenkins has played 49 games for the Pistons so far this season, and players on two-way contracts are limited to 50 games played during the regular season. The Pistons are likely holding Jenkins out to preserve his eligibility while working on signing him to a standard contract. Once the trade deadline is finished, we should have a better idea of how the Pistons will be able to convert his contract.
Tobias Harris

Tobias Harris (hip) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Wizards.

Harris is dealing with left hip soreness and finds himself listed as questionable for Thursday’s game against the Wizards. The Pistons also take on the Knicks on Friday on the second game of a back-to-back. It’s at least possible the Pistons hold Harris out Thursday, saving him for the more important matchup. Isaiah Stewart or Ron Holland II could move into the starting lineup if Harris is ultimately ruled out.
Cade Cunningham

Cade Cunningham (wrist) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Wizards.

Cunningham is on the injury report again, this time for right wrist injury management reasons. The 24-year-old point guard is coming off a 29-point, 11-assist performance in Tuesday’s win over the Nuggets. It sounds like Cunningham still has a chance to play, but if he’s ruled out Daniss Jenkins could move into the starting lineup and would be worth streaming.
Duncan Robinson

Duncan Robinson had 20 points (7-of-12 FGs), three rebounds, two assists and six three-pointers in Tuesday’s win over the Nuggets.

When the Pistons beat the Nets by 53 on Sunday, Robinson didn’t play a big part in the game. The 31-year-old small forward had eight points and two three-pointers in 22 minutes. It was a different story on Tuesday against the Nuggets as Robinson’s 20 points and six three-pointers were instrumental in the Pistons’ 124-121 victory. He has provided 15th-round value this season and is viable in category leagues.
