Caris LeVert finished Monday’s loss to the Cavaliers with 24 points (10-of-16 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), four rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and three three-pointers.

LeVert was part of a Pistons reserve unit that performed well on Monday. In his 31 minutes off the bench, the veteran guard shot the ball efficiently and led all Detroit players in scoring. LeVert had yet to have a big scoring night during the playoffs before Game 4, having totaled just 27 points across nine games. The Pistons would likely benefit from him having a similar impact in Game 5 on Wednesday.
Tobias Harris

Tobias Harris totaled 16 points (6-of-17 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), eight rebounds, five assists, two steals, one block and two three-pointers in Monday’s loss to the Cavaliers.

Harris scored in double figures on Monday, but did so on inefficient shooting. The veteran forward did most of his scoring damage in the first half, which played a part in Detroit’s success through the first two quarters. He scored just two points in the second half, while the Cavaliers’ offense woke up and overpowered Detroit. Harris will have a chance to bounce back in Game 5, which the Pistons need to win to avoid falling behind in the series.
Cade Cunningham

Cade Cunningham produced 19 points (7-of-16 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), three rebounds, six assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Monday’s loss to the Cavaliers.

Cunningham logged his least impressive stat line of the series on Monday. In his 39 minutes, he tallied five or more assists for the third consecutive game and was held under 20 points for the first time this postseason. Cunningham’s six assists were unspectacular, more than insignificant. However, he didn’t have his usual impact in Monday’s loss. Detroit will be counting on its All-Star guard to lead the way in Game 5.

Kevin Huerter (adductor) is unavailable to play against the Cavaliers on Monday.

Huerter will miss his seventh straight game, leaving the Pistons without a key reserve scorer and shooter. Caris LeVert is healthy for Game 4 and should see more minutes off the bench as a result of Huerter’s absence.

LeVert’s upgraded status will provide the Pistons with more scoring off the bench. Despite inefficient shooting and a lack of any big scoring outputs during this postseason, the veteran wing has proven throughout his career to be able to string together points in bunches. If nothing else, he’ll serve as a threat off the bench in however many minutes he totals on Monday.

Kevin Huerter (adductor) is questionable for Monday’s Game 4 against the Cavaliers.

Huerter has not appeared since Game 4 of Detroit’s first-round series against Orlando. Getting him back would provide the Pistons with additional depth and perimeter shooting on the wing, especially if Caris LeVert (heel) cannot play. Like Huerter, LeVert is listed as questionable for Game 4.

Caris LeVert (heel) is questionable for Monday’s Game 4 against the Cavaliers.

LeVert, who played 17 minutes in Game 3, is dealing with a right heel contusion. If he’s unable to play on Monday, the Pistons may look to Ron Holland to provide additional depth on the wing. Also, Kevin Huerter could pick up those minutes if he’s able to return from his adductor injury.
Duncan Robinson

Duncan Robinson produced 15 points (5-of-9 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, five steals, one block and four three-pointers in Saturday’s Game 3 loss to the Cavaliers.

Robinson has provided the Pistons with consistent perimeter shooting in their second-round series, having knocked down 14 of his 24 three-point attempts through three games. In Game 3, he provided welcome bonuses in the form of four assists and five steals, with the latter number being a playoff career-high. While Robinson may not be a priority for the Cavaliers defensively, they certainly understand the need to account for his presence in the Pistons’ lineup. Detroit will look to extend its series lead with a win in Game 4 on Monday.
Tobias Harris

Tobias Harris tallied 21 points (7-of-14 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), five rebounds and two three-pointers in Saturday’s Game 3 loss to the Cavaliers.

Harris continues to provide reliable scoring, having now scored 20 points or more in each of his last eight games. The Pistons’ forward shot the ball well in Game 3, making 50 percent of his attempts from the field overall. However, Harris recorded no assists or defensive stats after being responsible for two steals and two blocks in Detroit’s Game 2 victory. With Jalen Duren (11/4/1/2) and Ausar Thompson (nine points, seven rebounds, five assists and two blocks) continuing to underwhelm, this places more pressure on Harris to perform.
Cade Cunningham

Cade Cunningham finished Saturday’s Game 3 loss to the Cavaliers with 27 points (10-of-27 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), 10 rebounds, 10 assists, one steal and two three-pointers.

Cunningham finished Game 3 with the second triple-double of his postseason career. However, similar to the first, which was recorded in Game 4 of last year’s first-round series against the Knicks, turnovers were a problem. Cunningham racked up eight turnovers on Saturday, including two on consecutive possessions late in the fourth quarter. Detroit still had chances to win Game 3, a testament to the positives Cunningham brought to the table. However, they need to find a way to take some of the pressure off their playmaker, as inconsistent production from anyone other than Tobias Harris doesn’t do Cunningham any favors. Game 4 is on Monday night, with Detroit holding a 2-1 series lead.
