NBA Insiders Marc Stein and Jake Fischer report the Warriors are “nearing a deal” to sign Malevy Leons to a two-way contract.
They also reported the Warriors will waive 2025 second-round pick Alex Toohey to make room for Leons. After going undrafted in 2024, Leons spent time with the Thunder and made six appearances for them in November, 2024. He was with OKC this past summer and during the preseason but didn’t make the final roster. He’ll likely spend more time in the G League than in Golden State.
  • GSW Forward #10
Jimmy Butler tallied 19 points (5-of-10 FGs, 7-of-10 FTs), eight rebounds, six assists and two steals on Sunday, powering the Warriors to a 123-91 blowout win over the Bulls.
Butler helped carry Golden State to an impressive victory on the second night of a back-to-back after sitting out the front-end with left knee soreness. The 36-year-old playmaker did a little bit of everything with Stephen Curry (quad), Draymond Green (foot) and Al Horford (sciatica) all out of the lineup in this one, pulling down eight boards while also dishing out six assists. He’s delivered second-round value for fantasy purposes this season, averaging 19.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.6 steals through 21 games.
  • GSW Center #21
Quinten Post stepped up with 19 points (7-of-14 FGs), four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block over 25 minutes during Sunday’s one-sided win over the Bulls.
Post knocked down a season-high five three-pointers and matched his previous season-high mark with 19 points on the second night of a back-to-back. The 25-year-old sharp-shooting big man has stepped up to offer some fantasy relevance in deeper formats with both Draymond Green (foot) and Al Horford (sciatica) out of the lineup recently.
  • GSW Guard #7
Pat Spencer, Buddy Hield, Will Richard, Jimmy Butler and Quinten Post will start Sunday’s game against the Bulls.
The Warriors have made just one change to the lineup that began Saturday’s win over the Cavaliers. With Butler available, Jonathan Kuminga heads to the bench. While he should still play plenty, Kuminga’s fantasy ceiling is lowered with the move to the second unit.
  • GSW Guard #31
Seth Curry (toe) is available for Sunday’s game against the Bulls.
Curry is officially available to play after sitting out Saturday’s win over the Cavaliers. With De’Anthony Melton and Jimmy Butler also available, Gui Santos may be the one whose opportunities take the most significant hit. He played 27 minutes off the bench in Cleveland.
  • GSW Forward #10
Jimmy Butler (knee) is available for Sunday’s game against the Bulls.
Butler is back after a two-game absence, which is good news for a team that remains without Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. His return likely means fewer minutes for Gary Payton II and Buddy Hield, with both players offering limited fantasy value in their respective roles.
  • GSW Guard #30
ESPN’s Marc J. Spears reports that Stephen Curry (quad) has started on-court individual workouts and could return to practice as soon as Wednesday.
Curry suffered a right quad contusion during the Warriors’ November 26 loss to the Rockets, and Sunday’s game against the Bulls will be the fourth that he’s missed. The superstar guard did not travel with the team for its three-game road trip, instead staying back in the Bay Area to recover. The upcoming schedule works out well for Curry and the Warriors, who won’t play their first game of Week 8 until Friday due to the NBA Cup knockout rounds. If he can return to practice on Wednesday, Curry may have a chance of playing against the Timberwolves on December 12.
  • GSW Guard #31
Seth Curry (toe) is probable for Sunday’s game against the Bulls.
Curry is on track to play after sitting out Saturday’s win over the Cavaliers. Gui Santos may be the player most impacted by the expected returns of Curry, Jimmy Butler and De’Anthony Melton, as he played 27 minutes off the bench in Cleveland. There’s no need to stream Santos in this spot.
  • De’Anthony Melton (knee) is off the injury report for Sunday’s game against the Bulls.
Melton was held out of Saturday’s win over the Cavaliers, as it was the front end of a back-to-back for the Warriors. While he does boast a slightly higher fantasy ceiling with Stephen Curry out, the versatile guard’s playing will likely remain limited in his second game back from a torn ACL. Melton played 21 minutes in Thursday’s loss to the 76ers; expect a similar workload on Sunday.
  • GSW Center-Forward #20
Al Horford (sciatica) is out for Sunday’s game against the Bulls.
Horford will miss a second straight game after logging 18 minutes in Thursday’s loss to the 76ers. Quinten Post and Trayce Jackson-Davis will once again handle the responsibilities at the center position, with the former likely taking on the heavier workload.
