LJ Cryer accounted for 17 points (6-of-13 FGs), four rebounds, five assists, two steals and five three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Knicks.

After shooting 1-of-7 from beyond the arc in Tuesday’s loss to the Grizzlies, Cryer rebounded nicely to help the Warriors keep their hopes of qualifying for the semifinals alive. He shot 5-of-12 from beyond the arc, leading five Warriors in double figures with 17 points. Unlike first-round pick Yaxel Lendeborg (3/6/6/1/2 with one three-pointer), Cryer’s status for next season is not secure. He’s still on a two-way deal, but if the Warriors stay healthy, Cryer’s role is unlikely to match what it was last season.

Yaxel Lendeborg finished Tuesday’s loss to the Grizzlies with 15 points (6-of-12 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), nine rebounds, three assists and two steals.

After scoring 14 points on 5-of-14 shooting in Sunday’s rout of the Thunder, Lendeborg shot the ball better on Tuesday. The defeat was the Warriors’ first this summer in a game that their first-round pick appeared in, a reminder of what Lendeborg can bring to the table as a connector and winner. How valuable he is in fantasy basketball will depend on the Warriors’ recruitment of LeBron James; if they can’t land the 41-year-old, Lendeborg will possess a higher ceiling as a rookie.

NBA Insider Marc Stein reports former Suns head coach Frank Vogel is “poised” to join the Warriors coaching staff.

Vogel was last an NBA head coach in 2023 with the Suns, who fired him after just one season. His previous stop is perhaps more relevant here as he coached the Lakers and won a championship with LeBron James in 2020. With James reportedly considering joining the Warriors in free agency this offseason, Vogel joining Golden State’s coaching staff is notable, though nothing is guaranteed. Vogel has also coached the Magic and the Pacers.

LJ Cryer led the Warriors with 25 points (8-of-14 FGs), six rebounds, four assists and five three-pointers against the Mavericks on Thursday.

Cryer played a role down the stretch last season for the Warriors while on a two-way contract and had a few solid games. He, was solid in his two previous summer league games, but neither performance was anywhere close to what he did in this game. Cryer has his work cut out for him to earn a spot in Golden State’s rotation this season.

Lajae Jones contributed 11 points (4-of-5 FGs), five rebounds, one block and two three-pointers against the Mavericks on Thursday.

Jones made three appearances during the California Classic, scoring a total of 10 points. He surpassed that mark in this game alone in what was an impressive showing for him. Golden State added him with the 54th pick in the draft, so it’s unlikely he plays much of a role for the Warriors this season.

Yaxel Lendeborg finished with 21 points (8-of-13 FGs), 10 rebounds, six assists and two three-pointers in a 101-90 win over the Mavericks on Thursday.

Playing against his college teammate Morez Johnson Jr., Lendeborg was able to turn in his best performance of the summer to lead Golden State to a win. They’re now 3-0 when Lendeborg plays this summer. As an older prospect, is isn’t surprising that he has been able to step in and produce at a high level, and he’ll play a large role for the Warriors this season. He may not see many more appearances this summer.

Warriors signed Charles Bassey to a one-year deal.

With Quinten Post heading for Memphis, Golden State has turned to Bassey to fill out some backup minutes down low. Bassey finished out last season on a 10-day deal with the Warriors and is now on track to start next year as a reserve option for them down low.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Warriors decided not to match Quentin Post’s offer sheet, allowing him to join the Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies will welcome another frontcourt player this offseason with the addition of Post, who joins newcomers Cameron Boozer, Isaiah Stewart and Jerami Grant. Post played two seasons with Golden State and averaged 7.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.5 three-pointers across 109 regular-season games. His value comes as a floor spacer, despite shooting only 33.6 percent from deep last season. He’ll have a chance to bounce back on a Grizzlies team entering a new era.

Lachlan Olbrich recorded 21 points (7-of-7 FGs, 3-of-5 FTs), six rebounds, one assist, one steal and one three-pointer in Monday’s loss to the Heat.

The Warriors have not officially announced the roster they’ll be taking to Las Vegas, so the final California Classic games for their Blue and Gold teams were critical for some players. That includes Olbrich, who saved his best for last with an excellent showing on Monday. The 2025 second-round pick did not miss a shot from the field, led the Warriors in scoring and did a solid job on the glass. Whether it’s a two-way or standard deal, Olbrich is fighting for an opportunity after the Bulls did not tender him a qualifying offer.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that Quinten Post has signed a three-year, $30 million offer sheet from the Grizzlies.

Post is a restricted free agent, and the Warriors will have until 11:59 PM on Tuesday to match the offer. If Golden State doesn’t match, Post will join a crowded Grizzlies frontcourt featuring Zach Edey, Isaiah Stewart and Cameron Boozer.
