Jalen Slawson finished Wednesday’s loss to the Trail Blazers with 17 points (6-of-10 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), seven rebounds, four assists, one steal, four blocks and two three-pointers.

After totaling 21 points in his first four appearances, Slawson put up 17 in Wednesday’s loss to the Trail Blazers. However, his productivity in other categories, even before this effort, may have put him on the radar in some deep fantasy leagues. In his first four games, Slawson totaled 16 rebounds, 11 assists, seven steals and five blocked shots, so there was some category-league potential. He recorded a complete line against the Trail Blazers, and Slawson may be worth a look ahead of the Pacers’ four-game Week 22.
Ivica Zubac

Ivica Zubac (head) tallied 18 points (7-of-18 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), eight rebounds, three assists and one blocked shot in Wednesday’s loss to the Trail Blazers.

Zubac played 23 minutes before having to exit early due to a hit to the head. The good news is that the 7-footer was not experiencing a headache after the game and did not need to enter concussion protocols, but the hit did leave a knot. The Pacers don’t play again until Saturday against the Spurs, which could be enough time for Zubac to recover fully.
Aaron Nesmith

Aaron Nesmith accounted for 15 points (6-of-13 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one three-pointer in Wednesday’s loss to the Trail Blazers.

Can Nesmith be a silly season hero? He’s now scored at least 12 points in five straight games, his most productive scoring run in over a month. While the overall stat line on Wednesday was somewhat lean, he has been a top-100 player in eight-cat formats over the past week. Availability could be an issue for Nesmith and the other available Pacers mainstays between now and the end of the season, but he’s on a good run right now.

Micah Potter (triceps) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Trail Blazers.

This will be the second straight game on the sidelines for Potter, but this does not affect fantasy basketball. Jay Huff will continue to serve as Ivica Zubac’s primary backup.

Andrew Nembhard (calf) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Trail Blazers.

Nembhard will miss a third consecutive game as he continues to deal with a calf injury. T.J. McConnell started Tuesday’s loss to the Knicks and may retain that role for another game.

T.J. McConnell (hamstring), Quenton Jackson (calf), Aaron Nesmith (ankle) and Ben Sheppard (ankle) are available for Wednesday’s game against the Trail Blazers.

McConnell, Jackson, Nesmith and Sheppard all saw action in Tuesday’s loss to the Knicks, with McConnell and Nesmith starting. Whether McConnell makes another start depends on Andrew Nembhard, who’s questionable after not playing on Tuesday.

Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said on Wednesday that while Pascal Siakam (knee) is progressing, he’s unsure when the forward will return.

Carlisle opined that Siakam will play again at some point this season, but he did not have a definitive answer regarding the forward’s availability. Jarace Walker will have a higher fantasy ceiling while Siakam sits, and he’s worth the risk in deep leagues. Those rostering Siakam should continue to stash him in an IL slot.
T.J. McConnell

IND Guard #9

T.J. McConnell recorded a double-double on Tuesday with 10 points (5-of-10 FGs), three rebounds and 10 assists in a 136-110 loss to the Knicks.

This was a second straight start for McConnell, and had he scored one extra point on Sunday, this would’ve been a second straight double-double. Still, it was a solid outing for McConnell in just 20 minutes, and he should remain a starter as long as Andrew Nembhard (calf) is sidelined. However, this was the first night of a back-to-back, so keep an eye on the injury report ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Kobe Brown

IND Forward #24

T.J. McConnell, Aaron Nesmith, Kobe Brown, Jarace Walker and Ivica Zubac will start against the Knicks on Tuesday.

Brown will get the starting nod in place of Jalen Slawson, who will come off the bench after playing 27 minutes as a starter on Sunday. Brown started the two games prior and wasn’t productive enough to be worth streaming against New York.
