Bennedict Mathurin accumulated a team-high 15 points (3-of-9 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), four rebounds and two assists over 31 minutes in Sunday’s blowout loss to the Wizards.

Mathurin was one of the few bright spots in a low-scoring showdown against the cellar-dwelling Wizards as the Pacers mustered just 89 points in a losing effort. He hit just three of nine from the floor but managed to salvage his box score by getting to the charity stripe for eight free throws. The 23-year-old scoring machine has delivered eighth-round value over the past two weeks, averaging 16.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.3 blocks over 30 minutes during that six-game sample. The Pacers are off until Thursday when they square off against the Knicks before closing out the week with a road tilt against the Pelicans.

Nembhard should handle his usual workload, while T.J. McConnell will back him up. Bradley’s availability won’t impact Indiana’s rotation, and thus, it won’t have any impact in the realm of fantasy hoops.

Nembhard’s sore left calf could keep him out of the Pacers’ final game of Week 8. If so, T.J. McConnell would be the next man up, although his playing time has been limited recently. He would be worth streaming if Nembhard can’t go, but the fantasy ceiling would be limited.

Tony Bradley (quad) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Wizards.

Bradley’s strained left quad could potentially keep him out of Sunday’s game. However, he’s no higher than third in the Pacers’ pecking order at the center position, with Jay Huff and Isaiah Jackson ahead of him. Bradley’s absence would not affect fantasy basketball.

Jay Huff accounted for 13 points (4-of-12 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), four rebounds, two assists and four three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the 76ers.

Facing one of the NBA’s premier perimeter-shooting big men in Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid, Huff spent most of his time on the perimeter. Of the 12 shots he attempted, 11 came from beyond the arc. The good news is that Huff made four, but his field-goal percentage took a hit. However, more important than that was the split of the minutes. Huff played 27 minutes, with Isaiah Jackson (7/9/1) logging 12 and Tony Bradley (2/2/1/1) nine. If Huff can continue to get playing time of that quality moving forward, he becomes a more trustworthy fantasy option.

Andrew Nembhard finished Friday’s loss to the 76ers with 18 points (6-of-15 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), five rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one three-pointer.

Nembhard has dished out at least seven assists in four straight games, and he has been a top-75 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. With T.J. McConnell (15/2/5/2 with one three-pointer in 17 minutes) serving as the backup, the Pacers boast a point guard tandem in which both players can provide solid value, even with Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) out for the season. Nembhard and McConnell will be especially useful for the final day of Week 8, as Indiana hosts the reeling Wizards.
Pascal Siakam

Pascal Siakam recorded 20 points (8-of-19 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one three-pointer in Friday’s loss to the 76ers.

Five Pacers finished Friday’s defeat in double figures, with Siakam leading the way. He’s scored at least 20 points in seven straight and 12 of his last 13 games, a big reason why the veteran forward has been close to a top-50 player in eight-cat formats over the past month. While Siakam’s slow start didn’t do fantasy managers any favors, he has turned things around. The concern now would be the Pacers deciding to pull the plug on some of its veterans, but that should not be an issue this early in the season.
Kam Jones

IND Guard #7

Kam Jones (back) is available for Friday’s game against the 76ers.

Jones, who has been out since early in the preseason with a lower back stress reaction, is officially available to make his NBA debut. Given the amount of time missed, the second-round pick out of Marquette will likely be under a minutes restriction. Jones won’t affect fantasy basketball now, but he may have “silly season” value if the Pacers can’t bounce back from their slow start.
Kam Jones

IND Guard #7

Kam Jones (back) is questionable for Friday’s game against the 76ers.

Jones, who suffered a lower back injury during the early portion of training camp, could be available to make his official NBA debut on Friday. While his availability does not affect redraft leagues, the rookie guard’s performances and opportunities will be of interest to managers in dynasty leagues.
Quenton Jackson

Quenton Jackson (hamstring) is questionable for Friday’s game against the 76ers.

Jackson strained his right hamstring during a November 3 game against the Bucks and has not been available since. That may change on Friday, with Ethan Thompson potentially losing out on playing time. However, neither he nor Jackson moves the needle in fantasy.
