Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Dejounte Murray finished with 17 points (5-of-12 FGs), three rebounds, nine assists, four steals, one block, two three-pointers and six turnovers on Thursday against the Jazz.
Efficiency was still as issue for Murray in his second game of the season, but he was better in other areas. There aren’t many players that can match Dejounte’s combination of assists and steals. He logged 26 minutes in this game, which was more than enough for the Pels to get a third straight win. He may sit for the rematch with the Jazz on Saturday to ensure he is available to play the Clippers on Sunday, which would likely allow Jeremiah Fears to start.
Saddiq Bey
NOP
Guard-Forward
#41
Saddiq Bey led the Pelicans with 42 points (14-of-20 FGs, 9-of-9 FTs), five rebounds, seven assists and five three-pointers in a 129-118 win over the Jazz on Thursday.
Bey has had an incredible season for the Pels after missing all of last year, and this was his best performance. His red-hot shooting led to a new season high and the second-highest scoring outing of his career. He’ll continue to play a significant role for New Orleans for the remainder of the season, and while he may not have more performances like this, he should be considered a must-roster player.
Yves Missi
NOP
Center
#21
Yves Missi (calf) is out for Thursday’s game against the Jazz.
Missi has been out since February 9 due to a strained left calf. His continued absence does not affect fantasy basketball, but it has freed up a few minutes for DeAndre Jordan and Karlo Matković.
Trey Murphy
NOP
Forward
#25
Trey Murphy (shoulder) has been ruled out against the Jazz on Thursday.
Murphy will miss a fourth straight game with this shoulder injury that he suffered prior to the All-Star break. Dejounte Murray (Achilles) made his season debut on Tuesday and should continue to start with Murphy sidelined.
Micah Peavy
NOP
Guard-Forward
#14
Micah Peavy (toe) is not on the injury report against the Jazz on Thursday.
Following a four-game absence that started prior to the All-Star break, Peavy will be back to take on Utah. However, his role has been minimal in recent weeks, so his return won’t drastically alter the Pelicans’ rotation.
Zion Williamson
NOP
Forward
#1
Zion Williamson led the Pelicans with 26 points (11-of-21 FGs), six rebounds, two steals, one block and one three-pointer against the Warriors on Tuesday.
Williamson had another strong game as a scorer, having finished with at least 25 points in three of his last four games. However, it’s his continued availability that has been the most impressive. He hasn’t missed a game since mid-December, which has extended the longest streak without missing a game of his career. It’s unfortunate that Williamson’s having the healthiest year of his career in a lost season for the Pelicans, but it should give managers optimism when drafting him next season.
Dejounte Murray
NOP
Guard
#5
Dejounte Murray made his season debut on Tuesday and contributed 13 points (5-of-11 FGs), two rebounds, three assists, one steal, one three-pointer and five turnovers in a 113-109 win over the Warriors.
Suiting up for the first time in nearly 13 months, Murray was immediately moved into the starting unit. The Pelicans said he’d be on a minutes restriction, and he ended up logging 25 minutes, which isn’t a strict limit. It was a strong outing considering the layoff, and he should be considered a must-roster player if he’s going to continue to play this much. Next up is a trip to Utah on Thursday, and with a back-to-back this weekend, he will likely only play one of those games.
Dejounte Murray
NOP
Guard
#5
Dejounte Murray, Herb Jones, Saddiq Bey, Zion Williamson and DeAndre Jordan will start Tuesday’s game against the Warriors.
Murray is making his season debut on Tuesday, and he’ll do so as a starter. He will be under a minutes restriction, so fantasy managers should not expect too much too soon from the guard. Even more surprising is who he replaces in the starting lineup. Jordan will get another start, with Derik Queen being moved to the bench. If you’re confused by this, you aren’t the only one, even with Queen’s defensive struggles.
Dejounte Murray
NOP
Guard
#5
Dejounte Murray (Achilles) will be available to play against the Warriors on Tuesday on a minutes restriction.
The exact number wasn’t specified, but it has been nearly 13 months since he tore his Achilles, so his workload will likely be too limited for him to make a significant impact in fantasy hoops. However, he has a fantasy-friendly game, so as he gets acclimated, he could end up as a league winner down the stretch if his minutes increase.
Micah Peavy
NOP
Guard-Forward
#14
Micah Peavy (toe) is out for Tuesday’s matchup with the Warriors.
It’s unclear when Peavy will return to New Orleans’ lineup, but his availability isn’t particularly significant to fantasy managers due to his limited involvement in the Pels’ rotation.
