Aaron Gordon says he’s undecided about doing next season’s dunk contest

Maybe the most memorable part of last year’s All-Star Weekend in Toronto was Aaron Gordon’s dunk-contest battle with Zach LaVine. Both of them were so incredible that it had fans thinking they’d be the next generation’s Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins, battling multiple times over the years. But Gordon tells BasketballInsiders.com’s Alex Kennedy that he’s on the fence about competing next year.

Kennedy: Are you going to do the dunk contest again this year?

Gordon: “I’m not 100 percent sure. I kind of gave a lot in this last one and to be more creative would be difficult. I think I could do it, but I’m not sure if I’m going to.”


Gordon has a point, but it would be a shame if he didn’t do it at least one more time. He’s only 20 still, and hasn’t yet peaked in athleticism. Either way, at least we got last year, which you can relive below:
