Bo McCalebb became a legend for his play for Macedonia in the 2011 EuroBasket.
Before that, he was a New Orleans native who played at the University of New Orleans.
Now, after years playing overseas, he’s coming home.
John Reid of The Times-Picayune:
Pelicans have signed former UNO star guard Bo McCalebb to partially guaranteed contract.

New Orleans could use a point guard. Jrue Holiday is set to begin the season under a minute limit. Norris Cole is also injured. Tyreke Evans is needed on the wing.
But the 6-foot McCalebb is 30 and reliant on his quickness to get to the rim and disrupt defensively. His NBA window might have already closed.
Plus, with Omer Asik and Alexis Ajinca hurt, the Pelicans might need to keep an extra center. They signed Jerome Jordan.
It’d be a great story if McCalebb makes the regular-season roster, but there are plenty of hurdles to clear.
