Nemanja Nedovic reportedly suffered a stress fracture in his foot earlier this summer that was of little concern to the Warriors, but would have kept him from playing for Serbia in the FIBA World Cup.
It appears that the injury was not as serious as originally believed, and Nedovic now hopes to be ready to participate in the international competition.

The Serbian point guard is waiting for the green light from the Warriors to play in Spain.
Nedovic is under contract with Golden State for the upcoming season, which is why permission would be needed for him to play at the Worlds given his medical condition.
But Nedovic is more of a development project than he is a key part of the team’s plans for next season, and that development has been slow, to the point the club has an unusually difficult decision to make regarding his contract for the 2016 season.
If the doctors’ reports check out from the Warriors perspective, Nedovic will play for Serbia later this month. He scored just 26 points in total in 24 appearances for Golden State last season, while averaging 5.9 minutes in those contests.
