Tuesday’s game will be the third that Carlson has missed since straining his lower back during a February 25 loss to the Pistons. His continued absence does not affect fantasy basketball, even with Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) also sitting out on Tuesday night.

Mitchell, who sprained his ankle while working out towards a return from his abdominal strain, will miss at least one more game. His continued absence means more playing time for Isaiah Joe and Jared McCain, who also receive a slight boost on Tuesday since Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is also out.

Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Bulls.

Hartenstein is not at the point where he’s allowed to play both games of back-to-backs, so the decision to sit him on Tuesday was likely done with Wednesday’s game against the Knicks in mind. Chet Holmgren will be available against Chicago, so he’ll pick up some of the slack. Hartenstein’s absence also means more playing time for Jaylin Williams, who is worthy of streaming consideration.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (core) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Bulls.

The Thunder open their Week 19 schedule with a back-to-back against the Bulls and Knicks, so it’s unsurprising that some key players will sit out the former for injury management reasons. Gilgeous-Alexander’s absence makes Cason Wallace a more attractive fantasy option in shallow formats, while Jared McCain will be worth a look in some 14-team leagues.

Chet Holmgren finished Sunday’s win over the Mavericks with 19 points (8-of-14 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), nine rebounds, one assist, two steals, two blocks and one three-pointer.

While Holmgren didn’t set the scoreboard on fire with his 19-point effort, Sunday’s victory was his highest-scoring game since dropping 20 in a January 27 win over the Pelicans. Even better for fantasy managers is that he shot the ball well against the Mavericks while also recording a complete stat line. With Chet having sat out one game of the Thunder’s most recent back-to-back, that could also be the case for Oklahoma City’s games against Chicago (Tuesday) and New York (Wednesday) to begin Week 19.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tallied 30 points (12-of-20 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), four rebounds, five assists, four steals and one three-pointer in Sunday’s win over the Mavericks.

After logging 34 minutes in his first game back from an abdominal strain that sidelined him for just over three weeks, Gilgeous-Alexander played 33 minutes on Sunday. The reigning MVP clearly isn’t under a strict minutes limit, but the Thunder aren’t going to push him too far. Gilgeous-Alexander still put up 30 points on 60 percent shooting from the field, and his final stat line only lacked a blocked shot. Oklahoma City’s three-game Week 19 starts with a back-to-back on Tuesday and Wednesday, so SGA may be limited to two appearances.

Ajay Mitchell (abdominal, ankle) is out for Sunday’s game against the Mavericks.

Mitchell has been out since January 21, and he’ll remain out for at least one more game. His absence has freed up additional minutes for Isaiah Joe and Jared McCain, with both players offering limited upside given the Thunder’s more robust rotation than it was one week ago.

Carlson’s continued absence won’t affect the Thunder rotation or fantasy basketball, as Chet Holmgren, Isaiah Hartenstein and Jaylin Williams are available to play.

Isaiah Hartenstein recorded nine points (4-of-6 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), eight rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks in Friday’s win over the Nuggets.

Hartenstein remains under a restriction, so he joined Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on the bench in overtime after logging 25 minutes. The 7-footer was productive while on the floor, filling the stat sheet while shooting 66.7 percent from the field. As long as Hartenstein’s workload is restricted, Jaylin Williams (21 points, five rebounds, three assists, one block and two three-pointers in 26 minutes) will be worth a look in deeper leagues.

Chet Holmgren tallied 15 points (5-of-8 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), 21 rebounds, three assists, one steal, three blocks and one three-pointer in Friday’s win over the Nuggets.

With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander back in the Thunder lineup, Holmgren’s scoring opportunities took a hit on Friday. However, there’s more than one way to affect a game. Holmgren was outstanding on the glass, as he recorded his first 20-rebound game, while also blocking three shots. The lone concern for Sunday’s game against the Mavericks is that Oklahoma City gets up big early, as that would likely mean fewer minutes for Holmgren and the other starters.
