Trey Alexander contributed 13 points (4-of-9 FGs), five rebounds, two assists and three three-pointers against the Wizards on Thursday.

Alexander signed a two-way contract with Utah just a couple days prior, which made this his first game for his new team. Akexander wasn’t able to carve out much of a role in Denver or New Orleans, and he’ll likely once again spend most of his time in the G League. However, he had some solid moments in this game, including a pair of late triples.

Cody Williams finished with 16 points (6-of-12 FGs), five rebounds, two assists, four steals, one block and two three-pointers against the Wizards on Thursday.

Though he clearly isn’t a finished product, Williams has shown progress entering his third season. He looks like how a third-year NBA player should look in summer league. Williams was solid in this game and should be a rotation piece for Utah this season, though the amount of depth they have may make it difficult for him to carve out a large role.

Darryn Peterson led the Jazz with 24 points (6-of-18 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), three rebounds, three assists, one block, two three-pointers and eight turnovers in a 92-88 loss to the Wizards on Thursday.

Peterson was a star during summer league in Salt Lake City, and that commanded the attention of Washington’s defense for the entire game. From the beginning, the Wizards applied full-court pressure when Peterson brought the ball up and made his life incredibly difficult. Though he still had some star flashes, this was by far his worst performance of the summer. He was reckless with the ball at times and committed nine fouls. He’ll look to bounce back against the Clippers on Sunday.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Jazz signed Mo Bamba to a two-year deal.

The sixth overall pick in the 2018 draft, Bamba is still looking to cement himself as a pro after an inconsistent run in Orlando to begin his NBA career. He’s appeared in 36 NBA games over the last two seasons, including four in 2025-26. Signed to a 10-day deal by the Jazz in March, Bamba played two games for Utah, corralling 20 rebounds. He made a good enough impression to earn a contract from Utah, but Bamba’s return is unlikely to affect fantasy basketball.

Cody Williams notched 18 points (7-of-13 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in Monday’s win over the Grizzlies.

Williams entered the offseason with two directives: get stronger and improve defensively. He’s reportedly added 10 pounds to his frame, and the Jazz forward had an excellent all-around performance on Monday. After committing six turnovers in Saturday’s summer opener, Williams committed two against the Grizzlies and shot over 50 percent from the field. With the Jazz focused on actually competing next season, Williams’ margin for error is likely to be slim if he’s to earn rotation minutes. As for the rest of this summer, Utah’s decision-makers likely hope that he’ll show early in Las Vegas that he’s too good to be playing.

Darryn Peterson tallied 25 points (8-of-15 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), two rebounds, 12 assists, two steals and three three-pointers in Monday’s win over the Grizzlies.

After dishing out two assists in his summer debut on Saturday, Peterson was elite as a playmaker on Monday. Two turnovers offset his 12 assists, and the second overall pick in last month’s draft also shot over 50 percent from the field. Even with the Jazz having Keyonte George and Isaiah Collier on the roster, there will be times when they need Peterson to do more playmaking for others. His improved ability to balance searching for his shot with getting others involved was highly encouraging and a reminder of the fantasy value he may provide as a rookie.

Ace Bailey (back) will not play in Monday’s game against the Grizzlies.

Bailey exited Saturday’s exhibition against the Hawks with back spasms and will not play in Monday’s game as a result. He’ll miss out on an opportunity to establish greater chemistry with lottery pick Darryn Peterson. Still, the hope is that Bailey will be available for Utah’s summer league games in Las Vegas.

Cody Williams contributed 17 points (8-of-13 FGs), five rebounds, one assist, one steal, two blocks, one three-pointer and six turnovers against the Hawks on Saturday.

Third-year players should dominate summer league if they play, and Williams was able to show plenty of growth, even if he wasn’t perfect. The turnovers were frustrating for an experienced player, but he was able to score effectively, which included some ferocious dunks. Williams is still fighting for a place in the Jazz rotation this season, but this was an encouraging start to the summer for him.

Darryn Peterson finished with 28 points (11-of-21 FGs), five rebounds, two assists, two blocks, four three-pointers and eight turnovers in a 103-102 win over the Hawks on Saturday.

Peterson made his Jazz debut in front of the home crowd in the team’s first game of the Salt Lake City Summer League. Typically, summer league doesn’t correlate directly with success as a rookie, but if this debut from Peterson is an indicator, he’s going to be a star. The scoring was always going to be a strength, but he also showcased a lot as a passer and as a defender, even if the stats didn’t line up. Peterson has a strong case to start in year one on a team that will be pushing for the playoffs, which should allow him to be one of the better rookies in fantasy basketball.

Ace Bailey (back) finished with 10 points (4-of-8 FGs), six rebounds, one steal and one block against the Hawks on Saturday.

Bailey looked good in 20 minutes, but he exited early due to right back spasms. In a meaningless exhibition, this could’ve just been precautionary, though it is worth monitoring in the coming weeks since it could impact his availability for the remainder of summer league. Bailey was named to the All-Rookie Second Team last year, but the addition of Darryn Peterson in the draft means he’ll be fighting for a spot in the starting lineup this year.
