STAMFORD, Conn. – Sept. 24, 2025 – Exactly one month after he was traded by the Cowboys, All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons returns to Dallas with new teammate Jordan Love as the Green Bay Packers (2-1) visit Dak Prescott and the Cowboys (1-2) in a historic rivalry game in the Week 4 edition of NBC’s Sunday Night Football. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET with a special on-site edition of Football Night in America from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, followed by kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC, Peacock and Universo.
Parsons, the No. 12 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, spent four seasons with the Cowboys, earning four Pro Bowl and two AP All-Pro selections. On Aug. 28, Dallas traded him to Green Bay, where he has 1.5 sacks this season.
The Cowboys (62) and Packers (48) have appeared in the most NBC SNF games since the package began in 2006, and have met the second-most times in NFL postseason history (nine). Sunday night’s matchup also marks the 24th game at AT&T Stadium in the NBC SNF package, breaking a first-place tie with the Packers’ Lambeau Field and the Steelers’ Acrisure Stadium.
The Packers fell to the Cleveland Browns, 13-10, on Sunday. Love threw for 183 yards and a touchdown while three-time Pro Bowl running back Josh Jacobs had 74 scrimmage yards (44 receiving, 30 rushing). Rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden, a first-round draft choice in April, led the team with 52 receiving yards in the loss.
The Cowboys lost to the Chicago Bears, 31-14, last week. Prescott threw for 251 yards and a touchdown. Tight end Jake Ferguson led Dallas with 82 receiving yards on a career-high 13 receptions, while first-year Cowboys WR George Pickens had 68 receiving yards and a touchdown. RB Javonte Williams totaled 92 scrimmage yards (76 rushing, 16 receiving) in the loss.
Green Bay and Dallas meet for the 40th time (including postseason) on Sunday, with the Packers holding a 22-17 advantage in the series. Their last meeting came in the 2023 NFC Wild Card, which the Packers won, 48-32, in Dallas for Love’s first career postseason victory. Green Bay has won the past five games in the rivalry, dating to 2016.
Mike Tirico (play-by-play), Cris Collinsworth (analyst), and Melissa Stark (sideline reporter) will call Packers-Cowboys. Three-time Super Bowl referee Terry McAulay is the rules analyst for all NFL games on NBC and Peacock.
Coverage begins with the Football Night in America at 7 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. Only Sunday afternoon games (or those listed as TBD) are eligible to be moved to Sunday night, in which case the initially scheduled Sunday night game would be moved to Sunday afternoon. As in prior seasons, for Week 18, the final weekend of the season, the scheduling of the Saturday, Sunday afternoon, and the Sunday night games is not assigned. Specific dates, start times, and networks for Week 18 matchups will be determined and announced following the conclusion of Week 17.
