Saturday’s slate had no shortage of drama. Between the seven games, we saw Devin Booker drop 58 to help the Suns get revenge against their rival, Cardiac Kemba turn back the clock with a 34-point performance and Ja Morant get ejected for... something, apparently. It didn’t seem worthy of an ejection, but it definitely made for a funny moment. Between those headlines and battling the schedule of college football bowl season and three Saturday NFL games, the unsung heroes that need to be on your fantasy team may have gone under the radar. Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.
Thomas Bryant- 13% rostered on Yahoo!
With the news that Anthony Davis is out for Sunday’s game against Washington, Bryant should be streamed everywhere for at least that game. He will get the chance for revenge against his former team, and they’ve allowed some big games to centers lately. AD was immediately ruled out for this game with no questionable tag, so there’s certainly a chance that he misses more than this game, especially considering his injury history. Bryant needs to be rostered everywhere.
Victor Oladipo- 13%
Vic is getting more and more comfortable as the games go by. He played a season-high 34 minutes on Saturday and swiped five steals to go with a 7/2/3 line. The former All-Star has loads of potential and is worth a roster spot given his upside.
Kemba Walker- 7%
In his first start since February of last season, Cardiac Kemba proved that he’s still got it. He scored 34 points and added five rebounds, seven assists, four triples and a layup to send the game to overtime. He should be able to carve out a role of about 20 minutes per game, though he may not have the ball in his hands as much. The next time Luka Dončić is out of the lineup, make sure Kemba is in yours.
Josh Okogie- 7%
Okogie is the hustle player that the Suns have needed with Jae Crowder not suiting up with the team. He began the season as a bench warmer, but he has played too well to remain out of the lineup. He has posted top-100 numbers over the last two weeks, and his role appears to be established.
Isaiah Joe- 1%
Joe got the start with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey out of the lineup, and he didn’t disappoint. He scored 23 points and hit five triples, which may have been enough to earn him some extra minutes. He should continue to have a role when the two starting guards return, though he may only play enough to be worth a spot in deeper leagues.
Aaron Wiggins- 1% and Kenrich Williams- 1%
Mark Daigneault‘s rotations are too volatile to trust, but both of these guys played well on Saturday. They may be too risky to roster in standard leagues, but they should see minutes consistently in the future. They’re worth consideration in deeper leagues.
